    What's your motivation?othet

Do you have any special motivation?

Through the years mine has changed, from picking up girls, playing in bands, getting ready for a wedding and so on. Now that I'm 45 and have two kids, 6 and 2, my motivation is based around them. Most of the other parents of kids their age are 10-20 years younger than me. When my little one graduates I'll be 61. I can't change the fact that I'm a lot older than the other parents, but I can be in better shape! I want my girls growing up thinking their dad is super man!

My motivation is figuring out what the right thing to do during my existence is, hot women, good food and reaching arbitrary goals (which make me feel good). Had this from since puberty when I became less playful and more driven. I don't think the essence of that will ever change. I'd like to have kids too and if I did I would do all I can to make them resilient, educated and self sufficient, but contrary to what people seem to make it I wouldn't "settle" and lose my old desires...

I have a few things. Looking good plays a huge part and maximizing my health and strength potential during my time here on earth. I also just really love crushing heavy weights

its my job. owning a gym and running a personal training and coaching business. I gotta look the part. heck I do two a day workouts, not cause its optimal for me per se, but people need to see me in their grinding it out.. if it motivates them, then it motivates me. working out for only yourself gets you so far, its easy to say 'fuck it I'm beat, I'll have a beer instead of the gym' , but when other people want to see you working hard cause your coaching them to work hard, then it makes it more of a motivating duty, doing it for more then just yourself .

    corporate gym?
the corp assholes probably charge more for training then I do and you get a shitty fat ass trainer that don't know shit.. waste of $ .
I run a private members only gym. doors are locked 24/7. me and my wife are the trainers. hard metal music is A ok, chalk, chains, bands, power racks, bunch of dead lifting platforms, olympic lifting, etc.. we got more then corp gyms offer and way more specialized training . yet corp places can charge more and hire a 12$ an hour gym douche to do the training.

That does sound like a good place, unfortunately the convenience of the la fitness by my house just outweighs the negatives. I have a nutrition degree and personal training certifications. I want to open a place like that so bad one day. I’m in grad school and still work pretty much full time, i have too many irons in the fire right now.
