    Is IT a NEW idea??

Next time you read something in depth that seems really intelligent; ask yourself, "Is this actually a new idea or is this just here because we are running out of ways to discuss old info."

I only bring this up because of a generation iron article I read that stated, "Six upper back exercises you don't need."

One of them was upright rows...

I invented my own method of upright rows and it is the only reason my traps are visible around my neck.

The article actually pissed me off. It made zero sense, yet it was from a top source that millions follow.

I commented as a business minded person. I was very professional I just simply made my case and they would not allow the comment.

    Nothing rude in any way.
I opened with: "I respectfully disagree about upright rows."

    No dice.
Cant say shit that is right and against the established status quo.

    It really hurt my feelings!
I went home and kicked my dog and slapped my gf!

Then I realized it was because I was signed in with google which had my bestest avatar.

So I coaxed myself down by deciding whoever wrote the article was smaller than me and did not want someone bigger saying something contradictive.

    Thats not it though.
It's because they are maintaining an image and have to pump out nonsense articles to keep peoples attention.

The way I laid out the protocol was too polite and eloquent.

Regardless they can SMD for life.

Point of this was, dont be a sheep. Follow no one. Dont follow anyones lead. Think entirely for yourself.

Take a general consensus of what you deem as true knowledge and expand upon it through trial and error.

NEVER EVER SELL YOURSELF TO THE IDEAS OF ONE PERSON!

Personally I've always hated upright rows. Horrible on my shoulder joints. You should try reposting from a different source. I'd be interested in hearing your perspective on the movement.

They are hard on shoulders for sure but the way I do them hits traps like nothing else and is a great finisher.

I use light weight and a short barbell or curlin bar.
Personally I dont exceed 100 lbs and if its the end exercise it may be 70 or less.

I put my hands about a hands width apart and pull up to my teeth or nose. As the bar reaches the neck area my shoulders move back and I "pull the bar apart".

It lights the traps up like nothing I have found.

Again this is a great final exercise. Doing it with heavy weight is terrible for your shoulders.
