    Trainer Honesty

So my primary trainer lives about an hour away, which means I lift daily in a super gym that is close to my house. Ive recently had this metabolic testing done to dial in my cardio and Im wondering what everyone thinks about being honest with the metabolism guy because Im about to start my next cycle. I paid a good chunk of change for his expertise and want the best info possible and I know to get that, he needs all my information.

The problem is that all the trainers in there work for the gym and as such, all their actions are associated with the gym. Thoughts? Thanks

    -K

A natty diet wont suit enhanced needs. Ask him about the difference it would make if a person were on AAS but dont admit to anything.

Wtf is the point of "coaches" if they can not b exposed to all aspects to coach on

    But, what do I know

When, I was a trainer(yeah) it was under customer confidentiality - I won't say shit about u directly to anyone else - again, just me tho

If you cant trust your trainer with that type of information you probably need a new trainer.

    My honest opinion...

Get your money back, unless your paying for a specialist for an injury, chiropractor, medical doctor, coach for a show prep etc... then I don't see the point. There is so much information on this forum and online, why pay for a coach when you can coach yourself? You don't need to dial in your cardio, experiment, over time you'll be able to identify what does and what doesn't work for you... If you put the time in, you will be the best coach for you.

Because everyone can benefit from having a coach. Olympic athletes have them, as do athletes in professional sports.

I could experiment and see how well workouts/diets/cardio plans work but that is a waste of time. I could teach myself to cut my own hair or file my own taxes and I'm sure that eventually I would learn, however, paying professionals is to do it right the first time is preferable than spending hours on a treadmill when the same effect can be achieved with less time spent running.

I dont think a coach is a bad thing, he may see or know things you dont. Would I be 100% vested in what he says, of course not, I would make desicions on my own. I would also really check them out, talk to other clients, first ask the trainer what he/she thinks I need to do to reach my goals, then research it myself afterwards then if things seem right hire them. As far as juice goes, ask them first what they think about it, dont say you have done it or are thinking about doing it until you see their view. If they are pro-gear then speak to them about it.

    I've got 99 problems......but my squat/dead ain't one !!

It doesnt matter how good looking she is, some where, some one is tired of her shit.

There seems to be a riff between enhanced trainers and non enhanced trainers. A guy who is anti juice isnt gonna be able to teach us much. Especially diet. Being on cycle is a completely different animal.

Its a tricky situation. You dont know who you can trust with the fact that you are on juice. The bro science method...find the biggest most monstrous trainer you can. You should be able to tell if hes on gear. Why am i gonna take advice from a 150lb natty stringbean?

I hire a trainer once a month. Not all equipment has mirrors there so you can check your form, some exercises require a spotter so you can go til failure. You have to be careful, I would say (a good percentage) of trainers out there don't keep up with the industry and new studies that come out, so you may be getting old information, training queues that have been debunked, etc. They are into it in the beginning of their careers, do the research and get their certifications, then eventually get complacent and just coast with what they know without trying to learn anything new. I don't blame them, it's human nature and you get those people in all professions, but still doesn't make for the best option.
