I don't think this is really fair at all, you only get trophies in school and specifically when you're younger. Once you're an adult I don't think anyone gets trophies at all unless they have earned something so this is kind of an issue that you're picking on but its something we see in younger school children rather than adults. If you mean adults expect trophies for basic shit i hope that isn't true as thats something i haven't seen before but still it could be the case with some "adults" expecting a pat on the back for doing the basic shit

Guess it depends on the ethics of your honor system.

People who do not meet your honor systems ethics are viewed as less than peer and outcast. People exceeding them are superior...

Once a man deviated from his belief system they would become less than peer. Someone he deems an outsider.

Honor is not a forever trait. It can be earned and lost.
Outsiders actions do not influence it. Though honor may be built by withstanding resistance of outside forces and holding true to the mutual core beliefs of your peers that is vertical honor.
