Depends on the girl and your feelings for her.

If she CAN take the truth (even if it's hurtful), then yes ofc.
If she has like post-trauma or shit like that, then no, that would need a different approach.

Tell the truth if she's a normal girl, or it will just hurt her more in the future both physically and mentaly.

    My tips is from experience.
If you just tell her with no plan or solution in mind, she will just break down and feel ugly (or similar).
Even if she hit the gym, she will most likely give up when she's at the point of lost all water and will start loosing fat.
Most feel great loosing tons of weight in water, but then give up when it's time for fat.
If you care for her, comment on progress, be excited, help her and teach her.
It's hard, but totally worth it!
Not only will it change HER life, it will change YOUR life as well as a stronger and more dedicated couple.
And if for some reason it ends, then you know that you help change 1 persons life for the better.

This response is kind and well thought out.

    HH, shame on you
Wellshii, your approach might work with some women.

If you wanna hear a woman's pov: start by telling her she's beautiful at any weight (assuming that's fairly true), or that you're attracted to her exactly as she is, or something similar. Then *if* you're good at guesstimating bf, let her know your best guess (or go with BMI, or suggest she get bf tested if concerned about her health). From there offer your support in *becoming more healthy* if she's interested.

Remember, when you help someone work on him/herself he/she should take the lead as to what kind of support or help they want from you. Also, never work harder on someone else's self-improvement than they are working on it themself.

IMO first make sure you know what you want and your expectations of a partner. Life sucks when you live with someone you don't want. Even worse when you are pressured to not speak the truth due to crying/manipulation/feelings.

Part of being able to respect others is to also respect yourself. If you don't respect yourself then what you are doing is not respecting others, you are just being a servant.

In your case it would depend on how fat she was when you got her. If she was and you liked her as she was, you can try but not demand it. If she was super hot and isn't then IMO start carefully but eventually explain what you like, but ofc be a man and support her all the way through the process.

Find yourself one you don't have to lie to. Or you could just be honest. The end result is the same.

Anyone who just think an honest answer is "just the right thing to do" probably does not realize that marriage is highly complicated friendship management. At least that is what my years of marriage have taught me. Oh, and she is always right in the end!

Come on guys, donít fall for it!
You tell them no, they look beautiful.
It doesnít matter how they look. That is the only acceptable answer. At least if you value your life. Ummmm sex life that is. LOL
Even with that, they are going to call you a liar.
