I like being able to lift heavy things.
Looking good is just a perk that comes with it.

I like looking good. Being able to lift heavy things is just a perk that comes with ot.
For motivation: I truly enjoy the physical sensation of resistance exercise. Proprioceptive feedback is almost like a massage, and it's relaxing to focus on the muscles, feeling the contraction and slow eccentric phase. The gym is like a playground for me

I just can't stop putting up a fight with physics. I have to lift and max out, and I just have to hit PRs. It is an alternative channel of reality that I live in, alongside reality. If I keep winning the fight in the alternative channel, I have the motivation and lust in reality to do what I want.

For the pain and the gratifying feeling of exhaustion at the end of a good session.
I have literally nothing else left I like to do so I abs need it as a distraction.

Here is the thing:
When my (ex)GF and I meet, we were both skinny. 4 years later we were very fat, and I wanted a skinny girlfriend. So I thought, if I lose weight and start working out, she will get jealous and do the same. Didn't work, she just got self conscious and started feeling bad about her self. But I really got into it and enjoyed it, it is a major stress relief in my life.
I kept asking her to go to the gym with me to, "keep me company." But she knew it's because she was fat and needed to lose weight despite me denying that was the reason. Then she would get angry and bitchy. Oh well.

Its such a shame when women let themselves go. Just a little excercise is all it takes to make a chick smoking hot and not to mention healthier. A big reason i refuse to get married is because i dont wanna get stuck with a fat wife while im still killing myself at the gym.
Phew, this complex is turning me into an douche

Well, knowing is half the battle, lol. No disrespect intended, I thought it was funny as heck, lol.
I do this because I love hearing the following things repeatedly from others:
"I'm glad you have the time to go do all that, but you have no idea how stressful my life is".... I'm a single father with three daughters full time and a super aggressive job... Whatever.
"I'd go but I don't want to get all huge and stuff"... Right.
"I used to work out too ya' know, but when you get to be our age it's not healthy to be all muscular".... Uh, yes it is.
"All you do is eat chicken, how boring".... Usually said while stuffing an entire pizza in their face.
"it doesn't matter, once you get over 35 or 40 it's impossible to put on muscle anyway.".... Allow me to prove you the Fk wrong.
And then my personal favorite....
"I respect that that's what you choose to do with your time, I choose to be at home with my family which is more important... ". What you really mean to say is you want to take your fat ass home and sit on the couch and watch Big Brother.
Life really is all about choices...
Best,
C-

I do it honestly cuzz I lived 27 years as a short 250+ lb obese human. I enjoy being able to see my penis. I'm sorry I know there's a woman in this thread, but I guess I was sick and tired of being the fat kid/guy all my life.
Worst part is body dysmenorrhea, I see nothing but blubber in the mirror. Even when I was 15% or less.
