Adult assaults teenager in the middle of a deadlift set
The teenage lifter could have seriously hurt his back. He wore straps too, sometimes they don't instantly let go.
Extreme cowardice to assault someone in the middle of the set, let alone a teenager.
When deadlifting you have to be very careful to control the bar, deadlifting is used to strengthen peoples backs even those who have back problems, but if you don't respect your bodys mechanics and start wobbling or rocking back or getting whips on the bar, or as here get a sudden counterreaction and get pushed off balance, you can cause serious damage to your disks.
In retrospect not assaulting the attacker back was a good thing, although extremely tempting, that dipshit now has the possibility of getting his life ruined as it is on the internet. If he were to get his ass kicked he would suddenly be the victim.

Unless the back story is the teenager beat up the guy's mom on his way into the gym, there's no excuse for that. Very dangerous and unnecessary. Like try talking first

Pretty messed up. If that was at the gym I use to go to the guy would have not made it to his vehicle in one piece. Looks like from the Youtube comments a local gym offered the kid a free membership for a while so he could train elsewhere.

I wish that happened to me, I'd straight rip his throat off - but, for some odd reason people seem to avoid starting shit with me - odd
I don't start shit, but come on - gimme a reason. . . No takers yet, at all - bummer

That is despicable behavior. The owner of the gym responded in the YouTube thread and gave the kid a 1-year membership for free.

That’s the worst Planet Fitness on the planet. But to be fair the sign says no deadlifting.

The backstory is, the gym told him he could deadlift, but he had to place pads down (which he had).
The guy complaining was not even an employee.
That guy had at least 30 pounds on the one deadlifting, so do you still crack him in the face? It would be hard not to....
Although I am not a fan of the channel, he gives more information on the situation

After the owner asked him to leave for the fifth time after breaking the rules... He should have shown him what real assault looks like. Though any gym that doesn't allow deadlifting they all need to be assaulted.
I remember the day when a fight would have ensued and both parties would have told the cops it hadnt got physical if they were called and they both could have walked away with a spine.
This is 2018 and people are pussies so we will destroy lives and careers with social media instead of letting two dumbasses fight.

The guy is from Montreal. This is the definition of assault in Canada
A person commits an assault when
(a) without the consent of another person, he/she applies force intentionally to that other person, directly or indirectly;
(b) he/she attempts or threatens, by an act or a gesture, to apply force to another person, if he/she has, or causes that other person to believe on reasonable grounds that he has, present ability to effect his purpose; or
(c) while openly wearing or carrying a weapon or an imitation thereof, he accosts or impedes another person or begs.
Yup assault, he put his hands on him
I would have grabbed a weight or barbell and smoked his ass. No need for his dumb shit. I would haven’t have hesitated, and I’m a really hard person to piss off[/QUOTE
Would you press charges from this type if assault.?
I call what he did as checking a guy. Who knows what when on orior between them 2
I have been kicked and beat by five and never called cops. My crime was dancing with the wrong girl.
I stood my ground.
I dont lose any sleep over it.
They were all tweekers.
If I could do anything different I would like another shot at it.
Most of these guys have never seen the inside of an American prison or been ran through the judicial system undeservingly. Its easy to stand back and say, "hang his ass," when you have no clue.
I see a kid and a gym owner getting their pride hurt and it being blown out of proportion by media method.
I have had some people do some terrible shit to me. I wish prison on none of them. If a guy has ever had tge opportunity to watch a mans children hug him as he heads off for a ten year sentence because someone was spineless it really changes perspective.
Its literally like looking at a man and saying its time for you to die now. Your wife will divorce you, you kids will cry for you, and you will go away losing all. Anything you had or were before is gone.
.... Because you put your foot on a bar of a kid to dumb to read a sign.
Pussies. 5 on 1 really?!?! There’s no more old school respect. I’m only 38 and if I have a problem with someone I deal with it. Not my buddies.. me. Now a days ppl are pussies. You kick their ass and next thing you know they are coming with 10 of their friends or guns or knives. Pussies. Yup that’s the key word here pussies.
Worse than pussies in my mind was the fact that they were meth heads. It doesnt matter how much I dislike them though I had my chance to leave and knew the cost. I just can't stand the thought of ruining peoples lives with imprisonment over a scrap. It was a $150 fine for fighting in the city limits when I was a kid. Now they will the same as kill you for an "assault" of pushing someone. Of you have enough money you will get off easy. If you are the average guy though they will hang you.
People get mad. People do silly things and throw punches too. It is an honorless society of weaklings that wants them to fry for it. I have had a lot worse shit than a beating done to me and even had people try to get me thrown in prison for bullshit lies. I still dont wish prison on them. They were just sheltered people who had no clue how far a single accusation can go once it reaches a bastard pos prosecutor and exactly what kind of punishment would be sought.
When you face 10-30 years for a supposed crime in which you touched no one, based solely off the prosecutors imagined "intent".... It really leaves a bad taste in your mouth.
"Intent" is the worst legal term to ever enter the judicial system. "Intent" means:
We think you meant something that will make us more money, so we are gonna throw charges on you that have nothing to do with the incident, based on imaginary mind reading capabilities, every prosecuting attourney seems to posess.
Intent... You either did, or you did not. Some bastard trying to read your mind somehow can send you to prison for life.

Buzzfit was attempting to contact Lalonde to offer him a free lifetime membership, but Rubish commented Sunday that a competing “dream gym” in Montreal, SSP Barbell Club, had also offered him year-long free membership to switch gyms.
