    **Why is this forum quiet**

I know I've not been on much but I do try and read as often as possible even though I can't post, but these past few weeks has been extremely quiet. Whats happening to forums these days? do you think this type of platform is coming to an end and the other social media areas like IG, FB and youtube are wiping us out?

    Thought opinions?

    Whats happening?

I do have to say a big thankyou for the comps what are being run around here without those things would be even quieter - Thanks

Its hard to keep people's attention anymore. Especially if they aren't told what they want to hear.
The new membership for this site is pretty good but they are here one minute and gone the next.
Just seeing a kid with the grit to argue their plight is rare lately.

Some of the posts are so goddamn stupid, you really can't tell if they are trolls or really just that stupid.
I dont think forums are dead at all. I think the new breed is just... Weak. Some people have always looked for an easy way to a physique but I think less and less really have any drive whatsoever. Once they get the truth they never come back.

I know I am old fashioned but I really believe the younger kids are just not... hard headed enough to pursue much of anything. Maybe I am wrong, still trying to figure out some of these new members.

I dont see how this site could die.
Its domain name is the most prominent on a web search for "steroid ", literally how I found it when I was younger.

Incentive of some type would bring it up and make them stay but do you really want too many to stick around lol?

Auctions, contests with prizes, etc. might help a lot but damn idk.

We obviously can't do gear auctions but as MS and I discussed this in a thread and he brought up the idea of research chems, sarms , certain peptides, t-shirts, picturez of marcus300 naked, etc.
As long as it was legal.

Contest prizes of... Whatever. Just something to get people involved.
I know a lot of diehards but on this site they are fading.
I do know for a fact this has been a shit year for how busy everyone is though. Between the heat and tragedies, a lot of regulars I know have barely had the time to log in.

Wtf happened to nach for example?
Been a lot of disappearances of guys that I know want to be on here and other boards.

Sounds great and should create more traffic, maybe even some kind of lottery would be nice!

Nach is very busy and has a lot on his mind at moment

I think that is a big reason. YouTube works because it's entertaining but it's just lectures. I think this is the only place which has a community that holds tight on to knowledge. What this or that IFBB pro does for a cycle I couldn't give a damn but trying to figure out contraindications of every compound all alone would take me years. Learning good habits like time off, getting blood work (and knowing which panel to get depending on the compounds you use), predicting difficulties/side effects from the help of others are all invaluable things, all given for free.

I think it has a niche among all other places as you get to interact and ask questions, there is always source checking for info (unless you're GearHeaded them it's all personal experience even after you've been exposed for not having ever lifted weights LOL), there is a large selection of members and I ask their experiences, members you can get to know and see if their opinion is worth listening too.

It is just as active as it was when I joined in late 2016 it seems. I don't think this place will disappear but it would be nice if new users came at a higher pace than now.

If anything the most valuable asset here is education and safety. You can try and find whatever diet, training or compound works best for you but understanding how these compounds work and potential sides is paramount. When giving advice you have to put some value into the human who received the advice, you can get hospitalized or even die from these compounds. I barely ever see this quality in other social media regarding AAS...

Years ago admin would pick a member for being helpful knowledgeable and friendly and send them $100. I remember because I won it once. I hate to say the sight needs a gimmick but it needs something to draw and keep people active.

I think a lot of people just want the easy way out and like previously mentioned there are a lot of reckless places/platforms that throw safety out the window, so it's not hard for someone to find the answer they want for self-validation. Society is becoming so degenerate and lazy, reminds me of the movie "Idiocracy". I recently got to pick my Doctors brain and chat with him and he told me when he diagnoses patients with diabetes where it is either corrected with diet versus pharmaceuticals, 9 out of 10 people choose the drugs instead of fixing their diet and exercising.

Could it be because all the whores stopped posting pictures in the lounge?

Things might liven up with a slight influx of Tartan up skirts.....

Isn't this the 5th thread on the same toppic?!

I thought it'd b completely down by now & I would have a semi legitimate excuse to post myself all over IG

Forums have been dead for quite a while - aside from a source board here & there

I definitely think social media such as reddit, the gram etc are killing off forums. When I was here before there was so much traffic, I also think BBing peaked in the 90's and its popularity is declining. I can't check mid post but I'm sure there are bodybuilding and powerlifting sections.... What about having other sections for sports where people may wish to use performance enhancers. Cycling, strongman... Fkin crossfit.

Also I think the domain name is helpful but a hindrance... I wouldn't open this site on my work computer. I also think that there are still a lot of misconceptions about steroids ... Going onto a fitness forum with a steroid section people may not mind... But steroid.com

The other forums I'm on are private sites so it's understandable that there activity levels are declining.

I think this forum is slow because the really knowledgeable people are not posting like they used to.
What gets traffic... something on going and not just letís see who posted what today..... that gets boring and loses interest.
That is why the competitions get a lot of traffic, it is something ongoing and seeing some of the transformations are incredible.
Something ongoing, like a log of one of the vets. I know itís a lot of work, but it gets followers like a competition. You wake up in the morning... I wonder what so and so did today. The Marcus log is sort of similar. But we need variety.
Examples: Ronny Rowland had where he was posting excellent information. I just went through it all recently and it took hours and hours to read it all. I would be back every day to see what new information I could gain.
There was also Jimmy linked up (or something like that) who ended up turning South for some reason. He had some kick ass posts. I do not see those anymore. That is what gets traffic IMO .
I would bet that an analysis would show that the activity of the vets would be directly related to the traffic. A lot of times they are lurking in the background reading and answering every now and then, but the appearance is they are not there.
Here is an example of something that will spur interest:
Take a muscle group (bis) and have a week long discussion on exercises, sets reps, BUT everyone needs to respect that their way is not the only way. I think that is hard for some vets on here. I may be totally wrong.
This recommendation is sort of the Marcus thread on steroids (sorry for the pun) with a little more structure knowing that it is ongoing.
Everyone on here has reached a plateau, breaking through plateaus on these muscle groups .
A lot of this is simple shit for the vets or they may not even believe in it, but it gives results to the rest of us.
Front loading with AAS- what does it really mean, does it work? Discussions like this that are a good weeks worth of discussion and will get the people coming daily IMO.

Here is what I think happens to new members:
50% dont come back when they realize it is not a source board
30% dont come back when they dont get the answer they want
15% dont come back when they get their question answered so now they can go run their cycle or whatever and never look back

the other 5% are the ones that stay, learn, and BS (percentages debatable)

I know a few people that use AAS, but they just go by what their source says, or common gym broscience, and never even get on a board. I think that's the audience that would stay if you could actually get them on here. I dont know how you would do that tough.

Damn facey tweets taking up peoples attention span

As Iím NOT a fan of social media AT ALL, unfortunately thatís the cool place for communication.
I love this forum and I think guys here are top Notch with knowledge and just overall good people and generally care about the best interests of safety and well being.

Unfortunately ( I said it again ) haha you have tons kids trying to be jacked in a few weeks using gear and eating cereal bars and expect people here to be okay with.
They ask questions and advice on their ďcycleĒ but when given good advice they get disrespectful or act like a turd and disappear.
I agree with a lot of members on what they said but born makes good points.
People love incentives ...winning shit , rep points , some gimmick to keep it interesting.
For me just speaking With good people and learning a ton is all I need but this new generation gets bored quickly.

I have not been on much due to work and being summer. I have noticed that gets more active in the US cold weather months.

Lots of valid points. I have a very blunt no-nonsense approach when people ask gear questions, which may scare the kiddies away.

I remember day one our resident Kiwi (aka Marcus) and Gbrice set me straight. I was young and thought I had all the answers. If I hadn't listened wouldn't have been nearly as successful.

Kiwi? You telling me Marcus is a fucking New Zealander?

I hope you mean he is a fruity mofo or a flightless bird.

***Yeah he is British, Kiwis are new zealanders.
New zealanders are arrogant, lazy as fuck, easy to break, dumber than shit, and the only group of people I have cast out entirely.
I have worked with every creed and color but a non-native, wannabe austrailian kiwi, is the biggest pussies I have ever encountered. Yet they insist their shit don't stink and they are superior to all even though I can get more shit done than half a dozen when it comes to any sort of manual labor.****

Im on just about every day to at least see whats happenin. I brought up a point last time we were discussing this topic, i still believe.

Sure with summer and other things going on theres alot of fluctuation in how many people are online and when. As far as membership and new and young members - of course, people wanna hear what they want. And alot leave when they dont.

But at the same time theres a point that i think gets missed. Most of the people checking out this site arent pro bb, arent looking to be pros, arent looking to compete, but are getting the strict advice as if they were. No way to definitely tell, but by best estimates, there are more weekends warriors and blue and white collar guys that use aas for simply aesthetics than for competing or actually making it a lifestyle.

More than a few times ive seen advice given that of you arent gonna make this your lifestyle or arent gonna follow the golden rules of diet and nutrition put forth from the mountain of wisdom, then you need to find something else to do. This type of mentality almost turned me off this site the first week.

Im 41. Im not competing and never have. I cycled consistently from 17 to about 30 or 31, within a large group of guys that were all about the gym and juice, was ripped to shit for quite a few years, then life happened. Got away from working out, etc and just worked. After 2 back surgeries, decided to get my ass back in gear, and at somewhere around 25 % bf and 39 yo, got back to gym and shortly after started back on cycle. Now i have low t and i knew that was part of my prob, so decided to do something about it.

Everyone here told me i shouldnt do it, cant do it, crazy to do it. Cmon. Im not talkin about downing triple dose EPO, washing it down with a gram of clen and having dnp for dessert. Theres a perfectly responsible way to juice at higher bf, lower training experience, etc. Was i supposed to get back in the gym til im 45 to get back in shape enough to use juice? Alot of people say yes. Im not one of those people.

Point im trying to make is i think the demographic that a large part of this site caters to is only the hard core and dismisses alot of guys that are using anyway and going to continue using, when in reality the demographic of juice users is more heavily populated elsewhere, such as your weekend warriors and average joes.

I know its not a popular idea or opinion, but if a guy is 18 and wants advice im gonna give it to him. You wanna say hes old enough by law and old enough to go to war but not old enough to decide if he wants to juice, i cant get on that train.
