1971 - Arnold was the only competitor.
1972 - Sergio Oliva smoked Arnold, and they gave it to Arnold
1981 - Franco may not have been the reigning champion, but he had titties and should not have won. Danny Padilla smoked him.

Dorian Yates shouldn’t have won in 96 or 97. Shawn Ray, Nasser el Sonbaty, and Kevin Levrone were ALL better.

Guys today are much bigger than the old school guys. No they don't have a wasp waist, which looks wrong with a 60" chest anyway imo.

Olympia pays very little.
It will continue to pay very little until they stop running guys like Kai and Roelly off. People want to see the freaks and thats what pays the bills.

Roelly literally looked like modern day incredible hulk. It was painful watching him lose, especially after being peoples choice.

Its the average fan that matters was all I mean. You are an expert. Others don't see what we see. They are all freaks but Roelly... 287lb at 5'8" and he was propotloned perfect imo.

Only place roelly lacked was in his low back. His entire body other than that had more depth in the lines than any.
I feel super bad for guys like roelly and Kai that presented the world with a new level of muscularity that has never been seen and they walk away losers.

All because someones physique "flowed better" by that they mean more aesthetic. If we judge it all the same tough we might as well make it all one class and a 180lb guy would win olympia every time.

I don't mean it rude at all I just cant stand watching the monster of the group walk away bested by way smaller dudes.
