I just drew a traced a cut out of Snoopy with a sharpie, then took a 1|8th in drill bit to the sharpie line.

On other spots I just used a wood carving tool to peel the orange skinnoff revealing the white flesh.

Put candle in the light shines though holes and carved areas

I'm trying to get my wife to do this thing. We seen it at one of those pumpkin roadside things - the kids said it was a "pumpkin on steroids" I had to have it. . . Thing weighs about 50 pounds
