Taser Recommendations

Hi guys,

Anyone have any good recommendations for a good taser? I found this but beyond what I can read in the reviews it would be good to get some first hand experiences.

Do they have laws against projectile tasers or things that look like a gun?

If I was gonna get a taser I would get that based on the fact that it has been service duty tested by law enforcement and has a lot of accessory options.

Considering the city is overrun by homeless dogs that is not an issue. That said, no way I'm testing my Taser on such an innocent animal. Plenty of human test subjects to use, my Stun Gun already got used 4 times in a traffic incidents.

The word "law" is a very subjective word to throw around here. You will see crowds of people getting into a fight over some traffic things and police standing 5ft away doing absolutly nothing but directing traffic away from the fight. If you can't defend yourself here you are, quite literally, fucked.

I am currently overseas in India and gun laws are extremely strict. Secondly, I am not responsible enough to carry a gun as I respond way to quick to situations which is something I recognized about myself many years ago.

I applaud you for owning up to that. I think there are a lot of people who are unsuited to carry a firearm for the opposite reason, but do it anyway. They're likely to produce but not have the resolve to pull the trigger. Or to carry with the intent to use it like a magic wand (pull it and wave it around to scare evil away). If all you're going to do with it is brandish it, you'd best keep it covered with Ex-Lax because eventually somebody's going to take it away from you and stick it up your ass. The worst thing you can do with a firearm (apart from shooting an innocent) is give it to the very person you carry it to protect yourself from.

The cop in my family carries a Taser X26P, but they're spendy, refurbished goes for ~$600.
