    Wassup with BOP?

When I tried to load BOP I got:

"Hmm. We're having trouble finding that site."

I did an nslookup (utilizing two differrent DNS servers) and they replied:

    "d.resolvers.level3.net can't find brotherhoodofpain.com: Non-existent domain"

    "rdns1.ultradns.net can't find brotherhoodofpain.com: Non-existent domain"

    GeoTool says it doesn't exist.

And Down for Everyone or Just Me? says"

"It's not just you! brotherhoodofpain.com is down."

And I've tried this using proxy servers located in London and Holland, so this isn't just local.

I've seen their servers have the odd hiccup but that doesn't appear to be what this is. It looks to me like their 'A' record has been deleted from the DNS servers.

Unless they're in the process of changing domain name, this looks fatal.

I’m not sure but it was a time bomb. I think some people were caught for things and flipped on bigger things. But that’s speculation.

Yeah, there was some guy blackmail them saying "pay me or I go to the feds"
I don't think it's that. It just goes down for days at a time sometimes. Nothing new

This is not like the server crashed or someone shut the business down, this is like they've been 'disappeared' from the Internet.

whois.net still shows they exist (their info was updated just four days ago) but I just checked one of the root name servers and it's the same story there.

    C:\Users\owner>nslookup
    > server 192.33.4.12
    Default Server: c.root-servers.net
    Address: 192.33.4.12

    > brotherhoodofpain
    Server: c.root-servers.net
    Address: 192.33.4.12

    *** c.root-servers.net can't find brotherhoodofpain: Non-existent domain

Nah, just screwing with you! It looks like they are just... gone. I peeped archive.org and they have January of 2019 as the last time they updated. So, if you are looking for sources, you can likely still find some of that in the archived site.
You had me for a second there (swallowed the hook, the sinker and the leader). I'd already checked the Wayback Machine and what I was after wasn't there.

Not so crazy now, standing on my street corner naked with the sign that says "the end is coming"

Well my work here is done.
    Going back to panhandling.

Whois also says domain expires on 2027-10-29. So, the domain probably still exists.
