    What ARE you?

    No, not a deep philosophical 'why am I here? Why are any of us here?' thing, but a simple 'how do you train?' type of thing. I suspect that we skew in favor of body building but lets see!

    It couldnt handle the enviornment/atmosphere and was trying to claw its way out the door and got stuck in gfs bra.

    I have so many questions! I'll just hop right in here...

    Was the cat upset because, while it was in the shower, you flushed and the water got too hot?

    Follow up question: did the cat get into that spot and then act like 'well, this is what I meant to do'?

    Final question: was it the noise, smell or combination of the two that caused the kitty to try to hang itself?

    Inquiring minds want to know lol!

    The cat got in the noose and looked at me desperately. Caged in a terrible situation without notice, fading oxygen, and the booby traps only worsened the situation.

    Tbh I think the cat was shitting in the shower because for some reason she thinks its acceptable to shit there or in the litter box.

    No idea why she chose that spot as an alternate facility.

    I’m closest to a body builder I guess but I’m not any traditional category. I don’t want certain characteristics that body builders have and train accordingly.

    I train primarily like a body builder.. however I will sometimes train specifically for certain lifts and movement based training (as opposed to contraction based training). eg. bench press. I've trained for this specific lift in the past. I would have 2-3 days per week where my entire hour long training session would be just to help improve this lift.
    so example workout .

    I would do bench press using eccentric hooks. I would load up like 345 with the hooks adding 70 pounds. I would then get a lift off and lower the bar to the chest as slow as possible, about 10 seconds. when the bar hit my chest the eccentric hooks automatically come off by themselves and then I only had to press like 275 on the concentric portion. so I'm really breaking down the fibers and getting way stronger on the eccentric , and I'm getting used to heavy weight (you cal lift about 40% more on the eccentric the the concentric).

    then I would do bench press and do speed work using either chains or bands.. when you have a lot of band tension on bench it makes the lock out extremely difficult. so you have to be very explosive .

    then I would set a bench up in a power rack. I would put the safety bars above me and bench press into the safety bar, just before lock out (so its impossible to lock out) and would do isometric holds for 8 seconds.

    then I would reverse the safeties and put them low, just above my chest. I would then do dead stop bunch pressing off the safety. this helps improve your 'starting strength' or 'limit strength' , cause your going from a dead stop, you have no eccentric rebound or bounce off your chest.

    then from there I would do close grip floor presses to work on my tricep strength


    that whole workout had nothing to do with bodybuilding. it was simply to increase my bench press. I did this for about 8 weeks and my bench went up a good 40 pounds (for a couple reps.. I never do singles)


    anyhow. its nice to mix it up sometimes and give yourself a new challenge and try something new. heck next I think I'm going to maybe do some olympic lifting and focus on my overhead press. I'll still do bodybuilding routines , but just mix this in once in awhile to keep things fresh .


    I coach more then just bodybuilding. have power lifters and athletes that I work with in person at my gym. so programming for them is quite different , and I like to implement and try things out myself once in awhile

    A body builder might be 'fat' during a bulk gone wild.
    An old school natty powerlifter could be 'fat' most or all of the year.
    Heck 'other' could mean 400lb sumo wrestler.

    Man, it has been a while since I have heard powerbuilder. Though really, I think that term describes a lot of modern strong man competitors.
