How Much Weight Can You Gain Thanksgiving Challenge
so starting Monday , in the US, its the Thanksgiving Holiday week. Most of our kids are out of school and we'll be celebrating with family and eating plenty of good food as Thanksgiving is celebrated with lots of food.
so how much weight can you put on this week ? lets see
weigh yourself Monday morning and weight yourself again the following Monday morning and lets see how much weight you put on

Every time I go to a family get together and cram myself full of all of the food, I see a roughly 6-8 lbs. spike. The problem then becomes that my training sucks and I fucking hate food for the next week, aaaand it’s gone.
I am definitely one of those people who do not do well with trying to bolus stupid amounts of shit in short durations. This is especially problematic when you consider that I require close to 4000 kcals just to hold weight when off cycle. It gets even more stupid when I start dosing, after the initial spike in fluid retention.

thats crazy , what do you do for work ?
over the last 6 months I've lost 30 pounds (and not 30 pounds of fat, I was lean to begin with , probably 14%).. and for the last month or so my weight has held completely steady, not moving up or down, and thats with eating only on average 1600 cals per day , plus adding in lots of days of intermentent fasting (and through that process even 48+ hour fasts).
this was all in at attempt to fix my digestion problems .
but, none the less.. through that my metabolism is easily maintaining weight with very little calories.. heck post perineal blood sugars are running in the high 80s (thats lower then most peoples fasted blood sugars) ..
I'm in a spot where it would probably only take 2900 cals per day to easily blow up 20 pounds or so in a short amount of time.
a year ago I was force feeding myself 6 meals a day just in an attempt to gain a pound or two .. my metabolism seems to be totally different now through all the different fasting and dieting things I've done over the last 6 months
note: and that 1600 cals per day is maintaining my weight even with 2 a day cardio sessions plus weight training several times a week , plus snow shoveling and house work (where I live I have to shovel snow several times a week for hour+)

I am a lab and field QC tech for a paving company, which aren’t necessarily all that physically demanding, when you want to be lazy about it. However, I made habits when trying to stop being a fatass that carry on to this day.
For example, instead of sitting in my truck and taking distance measurements via gps, I walk using a manual wheel measuring device. This results in my walking the entire length of our workzones 3-4 times or more through the day. Then of course there’s the actual labor of repeatedly lifting and moving a 50 lbs. nuclear gauge, and using a chop saw to cut core samples, climbing in and out of the back of the truck to weigh them 10-15 times, etc.
When in the lab, it’s less physically demanding, but instead of sitting at my desk staring at a PC screen while waiting on samples to burn down, I’m pacing around doing the data entry on my phone. These are, as I said, habits that I formed in an attempt to rapidly go from 265 lbs. to 150 without having to essentially starve myself. They’re hardcoded now though, and make it a severe pain in the ass to gain weight.
I pretty much “lifehacked” myself from being a sedentary slug that couldn’t look at food without getting fat, to being that asshole who never stops moving and irritates everyone in the office with his perpetual motion.

yes Novalin R is my preference , especially when bulking (which is what I need to be doing most the time). the 30 min kick in peak with a second peak 2 hours later works good for me and my schedule . pre workout slin use will do its job with my intra workout nutrition, but post workout when I have a meal its peaking again. then post workout slin use will also peak again 2 hours later when I'm ready for a larger full meal .
post workout meal is often times just whey isolate and pop tarts or bagels .. I'm ready for a steak and rice meal 1.5-2 hours later, which is perfect because the slin is kicking in again then.
however, in a cut or contest prep , humalog works great. its more precise and you can time that one peak. you can dial it in a bit better with your diet and not chance spilling over.
something like Lantus works well too if your on HGH and MK..
when in doubt, run all 3 (humalin, humalog, lantus)

damn I've only gained 3 pounds . WTF !! I'm slacking big time . actually the last couple days I've only ate 2 meals per day, and no training. granite I did have pumpkin pie with breakfast yesterday , but thats not going to cut it
