I was driving down the motorway yesterday and I went to switch lane very quickly and looked over my left shoulder. I quickly turned my head to the left and then BLAMO, I felt like I'd just been smacked in the back of the head, and I had a shooting pain from my neck up the back of my head. Not really knowing what was going on, I turned on my hazard lights and slowly brought my car to a stop in the middle of the road. My next thought was that I was too young to have a stroke, and another 2 or 3 seconds later I realised I'd just gotten a bit of a jolt when I turned my neck quickly. I continued driving to work and I was expecting to have a bad 'turn' in my neck for the rest of the day, but I was actually fine. I sneezed later in the day though and felt another jolt in my neck. Not sure what's going on but I'm twisting and bending my neck all sorts of ways throughout the day.
