“One morning I woke up and found my favourite pigeon, Julius, had died. I was devastated and was gonna use his crate as my stickball bat to honour him.
I left the crate on my stoop and went in to get something and I returned to see the sanitation man put the crate into the crusher.
I rushed him and caught him flush on the temple with a titanic right hand! He was out cold, convulsing on the floor like an infantile retard.”
- Mike Tyson on his Childhood
You can’t top Mike Tyson stories.
You won’t ever do it again, you’ll be dead if you do it again.
Freddy Atlas while holding a gun to Mike Tyson’s head after he heard Mike was making sexual comments about one of his 11 year old female relatives. This is when Mike was living and training at Cus’s house.
I read Mike Tyson's authorised biography two years ago. It was quite long. Good read.
Ive made up my mind
I ain’t wasting no more time
Here I go again on my own
Going down the only road I’ve known
Like a drifter I was born to be alone
And I’ve made up my mind
I ain’t wasting no more time
Here I go again

"Growin' up at the track
He had a reason for being fast
His heart felt like breaking
He'd look right up at the ceiling and
Start again, never breathe a word of his loss
Cause it's not about winning
It's the rivers you cross
And the pain that you feel
Could be the fuel that you use
And if you're in need of direction
Be it the path that you choose"
"Now there's no slowin' down
There's only settin' the pace
No more dreams to be stolen
Just the right ones to chase
You've been through the worst
Now you know who to trust
Leave them something behind
Before the ashes and dust"
Two excerpts from a great song.

Dont know how I only just heard this song but I sent it to my dad who I havent seen but a few times in several years.
He was gone most of the time. People celebrated him for 6,000 mile weeks over the road.
Cats in the cradle I have the same issue with my family but have rarely been around him. Chasing my dreams now.
It’s not what you have, it’s what you can do with it.

I could buy an acre of farmland within 50 miles of the biggest nude sauna in the world. Then I could spend $70,000 on a second-hand mobile home. You can get a mobile home that's kitted out like a 5 star hotel room for about $70,000 second hand. I could add a second roof to it, as well as cladding for the sides, to make it last a decade or two longer. Then I could build flowerbeds right up to the base to make it look more like a stationary bricks and mortar house. I don't need planning permission if I keep the wheels on it.
I could also secretly build a basement in the ground underneath it. If anyone asks me what all the digging machinery is about then I'll just say that I'm digging a well.

meanwhile the sheep think ignorance is bliss and don't feel a thing .. its all peace and love.
ok sure until one day you get assigned to your bunk bed that lines the walls of hell (I've seen this vision... hell has seven levels as a giant pit and is lined with bunk beds,, and the deeper down you go the stronger the heat is). ... and you have to lay in it as the flames get hotter and just sit their slowly burning ...
ignorance is not bliss !!! lol , ignorance is not bliss its a death sentence

Its not possible to get pure cocaine right now.
I am like, uh, getting the feeling of coming in a gym, I'm getting the feeling of coming at home, I'm getting the feeling of coming backstage when I pump up, when I pose in front of 5,000 people, I get the same feeling, so I am coming day and night. I mean, it's terrific.

Yeah, that may be true.
But as soon as I read this quote, a name popped into my head.
Anybody remember a college basket ball player (I guess he was some kind of college star) named Len Bias?
Jump back to 1986; this "bright" young man was the second round pick of the Boston Celtics, a forward with what appeared to be a future in the sport.
On the second night after the draft, while celebrating, he died of cardiac arrhythmia (irregular beating of the heart) induced by a cocaine overdose.
So in his case, maybe the cocaine hadn't been "stepped on" at all or enough to weaken the shock. It was a bit difficult to imagine at the time, a young healthy athlete whose heart is going to have trouble; especially perplexing from a layman's point of view.
This death came on the heels of the kick-off of the aids epidemic, and his untimely demise gave rise to a joke concerning cocaine.
"What did Len Bias and Rock Hudson have in common? They both got ahold of some bad crack."
Just came to mind when I saw the quote.
We do not see things as they are, we see things as we are.
When the power of love is greater than the love of power, then we will know peace.
Success isn’t just about what you accomplish in life, just what you inspire others to do.

Sorry guys, I’ve been listening to a lot of Jim Morrison lately.
