Lightbulb Doing a triathlon after quarantine

I've decided I'm gonna do my first triathlon this year. Similar to how I ran my first marathon last year, I'm not too fussed about how well I perform, I'll be chuffed if I just finish it.

My endurance/stamina should be okay with me running 4 hours per week (half of the time with a 22 lb weighted vest). Plus I've lost somewhere between 15 - 22 lbs of fat in the past 3 months. Abs are starting to show.

There's actually a triathlon scheduled near where I live in the month of June, but it's been cancelled because nobody can train properly for it. I contacted the organisers to say that they should have a "fun run" instead, as it would be a fun day out for everyone, plus it would be a good introduction to triathlons for people who are considering it.

My cycling is decent, I used to cycle 90 miles per week to and from work.
My running is okay, I'm currently running about 20 miles a week (half the time with 22 lb weight).
I'm a competent swimmer, and I can swim fast too, but I have very very very poor endurance in swimming.

Agreed, best of luck. That’s one hell of an accomplishment!
