The vehicle for you. Post your ride. talk about cars.

Are you a car person? i never was, but i'm going to save up to put a down payment on a 4runner off road TRD 2021. i've never had a nice vehicle. i figure is about time. I'm not seeing a current thread on rides and whips.

i saw this one today and i want one just like it. tinted windows, off road tires, the TRD badge and the window rain guards or whatever they are called. it doesn't have the big ass rack on top, or latter though. i want both of those i think.

initially i wanted a big-ass truck, like an F250, 4x4, lifted, super duty crew cab, but then i started considering older trucks and a two really smart vehicle guys said if i don't know cars, dont get something old even if it's cool, and if i get a big ass truck it's like having an elephant, cool AF, but that thing takes massive dumps, eats tons of food, and it cant go into regular sized spaces. i came to the conclusion that a modern ride was choice. Toyota is a great maker. the tundra is also baddass, but i haven't explored those options yet. the turn on there is the bigger engine! if anything gets me to change my mind it'll be that tundra.

I've always thought it's better to buy a 2-year old car than a new car. You save about 5-10 grand that you can spend on more features.

Running a lot has its ups(downs to tho)

Had em all - after moving this many vehicle I care a lot less about what I drive daily

But, still - I prefer a truck < not the best mpg, but I like having lotts of room

Here’s a pic of my Tundra. I love it. Had a TRD Pro 4Runner and found it under powered.

The 5.7 is great, but definitely thirstier than anything of the American trucks I’ve owned. Good thing gas is cheap!

I've had something like 16 cars and motorcycles over the years. I've had everything from a Corolla to a 'Cuda. Currently drive a totally vanilla Silverado pickup. It was cheap(ish) and it works, unlike the Mustang that came before it. I've had it 3 years, probably longer than any of my other cars.

Next will probably be a 4Runner or a Porsche coupe, still debating. Really it could be anything. Toyota is about to redesign a number of their offerings and that may sway my decision.

4Runners & Tacomas of all years are some fine vehicles

I think we’ve moved about a handful of runners & just one Tacoma - the Yoda trucks are quite difficult to come by

Long gone, but the shmuck who got it from us thought he could make money by reselling - he still has it

It’s more of an amazing looking shell. The original rotary engine is ok, the sequential turbos still work(since they were rebuilt), but it’s an automatic & runs hot af < drivetrain is junk & needs a full swap

Check out this 1993 RX7 FD Twin Turbo Rotary 100% OEM for $15,500 on OfferUp.
    https://offerup.co/IPprWZXqL7

    I gave it to him for like 6,500 & a 9mm Beretta

    I think he’s still a tad grumpy

Not sure how to post pics from my iphone?

Currently have a 2015 sierra 4x4 with 32” mud tires, a Magnuson supercharger at 7psi, Alky Injection spraying straight meth and texas speed full length headers.

I think im going to put a circle D 2800 converter in it and up the boost to 9lbs or order 10 vials of primo.

Was a great rig and had the coil over lift...just couldn’t tow for shit with that 6 and Toyota goofed (in my opinion) when they quit offering the optional 8 for the 4Runner (would’ve made all the difference in the world).

My Tacoma lags when I tow. If I drive in overdrive it keeps downshifting and then if I just keep it and drive it revs much higher and burns a lot of gas, now I just throw the bike in the back of the truck I don’t care.

i'm having a Toyota TRD Off Road built from the ground up. custom EVERYTHING and aftermarket parts as well. part of the aftermarket stuff is a 2 inch leveling kit. only thing i'll have to do is tint the windows as dark as possible. it'll be my first new car and i'm 37

Dark charcoal gray. I aint towin' shit and i aint really goin' off roading. lol.

Good for you bro, they’re bulletproof! That TRD package is badass and hopefully you just did the leveling kit because the TRD suspension is amazing.

That car will hold its value (some states better than others) and will go for 300k miles if you want
