In Denver, we’ve had three separate “Covid” armed robberies with the perpetrator wearing a surgical mask. The thieves are definitely taking advantage out here...

I don’t wear a mask. It’s frowned upon to wear a mask and carry a pistol at the same time.

You can’t go anywhere here without a mask now. I ordered the sports face cover from amazon. It’s called a neck gaiter

    ^ same here

Only one mask wearing crime has been reported here - so far

I don’t carry most of the time - but, that should get some interesting looks. . . Nothing like a nice nickel 1911 on the side l, while having a fully covered up face

I swear this year has been a hair away from a life costing disaster for us here. Yesterday, we stop by my wife’s friend’s house out in Blythe Ca - the kids always play fort nite online, blah blah - I ask my wife, where they work - she’s like, whatever

They work in the state prison that just started mass testing. 1,500 positive in the prison that they work - come on, none of this is publicized anywhere. Great people, awesome place - great convo. But, are we exposed now or what?! Everyone seemed fine, so far we feel fine

And, this is while driving back from Wuhon California(also known as LA’s China town). We needed to shoot up there for work & we’re do to role out again tomorrow am. I have never seen LA like this(been there dozens of times) - no traffic at 5:30 on a Friday

No issues with a mask and a CCW in Colorado

I like the rush of carrying into the places that say no weapons allowed. Those are soft targets. I’m not going to be a soft target. Lol

No that is just something someone started for the anti mask group which Im part of. I wont wear one unless I HAVE to and then it's a Trump 2020 mask just to make them wish I didnt wear one. lol

Its only illegal if you commit or intend to commit a crime.
Yes I know this is in Virginia but it's the same most everywhere if you are required to wear a mask by an inept governor.

Sheriff Smith says wearing a face mask that covers your nose and mouth while carrying a weapon is not a violation of Virginia code because it's due to a state of emergency and due to orders from the governor.

Below is the full section of applicable of Virginia Code:
§ 18.2-422. Prohibition of wearing of masks in certain places; exceptions. It shall be unlawful for any person over 16 years of age to, with the intent to conceal his identity, wear any mask, hood or other device whereby a substantial portion of the face is hidden or covered so as to conceal the identity of the wearer, to be or appear in any public place, or upon any private property in this Commonwealth without first having obtained from the owner or tenant thereof consent to do so in writing. However, the provisions of this section shall not apply to persons (i) wearing traditional holiday costumes; (ii) engaged in professions, trades, employment or other activities and wearing protective masks which are deemed necessary for the physical safety of the wearer or other persons; (iii) engaged in any bona fide theatrical production or masquerade ball; or (iv) wearing a mask, hood or other device for bona fide medical reasons upon (a) the advice of a licensed physician or osteopath and carrying on his person an affidavit from the physician or osteopath specifying the medical necessity for wearing the device and the date on which the wearing of the device will no longer be necessary and providing a brief description of the device, or (b) the declaration of a disaster or state of emergency by the Governor in response to a public health emergency where the emergency declaration expressly waives this section, defines the mask appropriate for the emergency, and provides for the duration of the waiver. The violation of any provisions of this section is a Class 6 felony.

The wife kinda brought it up - face masks. Sure, BS - annoying af & want all of this to just go away. . . But, in theory they do help if you’re the one that’s contagious. It will prevent to some degree the spread of your body em coodies to others

Well, what the fuck ever - I’m back to focusing on doing nothing & staying away from people

When people try to guilt me about wearing a mask I ask them if they felt guilty about all the people they spread the flu to last year and previous years by not wearing a mask and how many of them died or spread it to someone else who got it and died.....

I really don't see the problem with wearing a mask in a pandemic.

It seems weird that nobody complains about having to wearing shoes, and shorts, and shirts...
But wearing a mask to protect others pisses people off.

If anything we should be angry that women can't go around topless.

Evidence is limited for the effectiveness in preventing the transmission.
You will notice most articles say “may”.
My interpretation of this is let’s use one, it can’t hurt.

Once again, the attitude that people take with coronavirus is solely a personal preference. Since this is a personal preference, there is no right or wrong answer.

I will stand with you on topless women. LOL

The primary function of the mask is to protect others.

You can still get Covid even if you wear a mask.
The masks aren't 100% effective against blocking airborne particles due to loose seals or material used.
    or...
Someone who isn't wearing a mask can cough and infect an object. Someone else can then get it on their hands by touching that object and then touch their face for instance.

    https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019...-guidance.html

Trump and Pence have even backed wearing face masks.

    https://www.foxnews.com/transcript/t...fight-covid-19

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SJRM2LDag_w

    https://www.npr.org/sections/coronav...ad-of-covid-19

No-one is saying the masks are 100% effective.
The effectiveness depends on the type of mask.
    cool video on that subject...

This is from OSHA's own site:

    Cloth face coverings:

May be commercially produced or improvised (i.e., homemade) garments, scarves, bandanas, or items made from t-shirts or other fabrics.
Are worn in public over the nose and mouth to contain the wearer's potentially infectious respiratory droplets produced when an infected person coughs, sneezes, or talks and to limit the spread of SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), to others.
Are not considered personal protective equipment (PPE).
Will not protect the wearer against airborne transmissible infectious agents due to loose fit and lack of seal or inadequate filtration.
Are not appropriate substitutes for PPE such as respirators (e.g., N95 respirators) or medical face masks (e.g., surgical masks) in workplaces where respirators or face masks are recommended or required to protect the wearer.
May be used by almost any worker, although those who have trouble breathing or are otherwise unable to put on or remove a mask without assistance should not wear one.
May be disposable or reusable after proper washing.

    Surgical masks:

Are typically cleared by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration as medical devices (though not all devices that look like surgical masks are actually medical-grade, cleared devices).
Are used to protect workers against splashes and sprays (i.e., droplets) containing potentially infectious materials. In this capacity, surgical masks are considered PPE. Under OSHA's PPE standard (29 CFR 1910.132), employers must provide any necessary PPE at no-cost to workers.1
May also be worn to contain the wearer's respiratory droplets (e.g., healthcare workers, such as surgeons, wear them to avoid contaminating surgical sites, and dentists and dental hygienists wear them to protect patients).
Should be placed on sick individuals to prevent the transmission of respiratory infections that spread by large droplets.
Will not protect the wearer against airborne transmissible infectious agents due to loose fit and lack of seal or inadequate filtration.
May be used by almost anyone.
Should be properly disposed of after use.

    Respirators (e.g., filtering facepieces):

Are used to prevent workers from inhaling small particles, including airborne transmissible or aerosolized infectious agents.
Must be provided and used in accordance with OSHA's Respiratory Protection standard (29 CFR 1910.134).
Must be certified by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH).
OSHA has temporarily exercised its enforcement discretion concerning supply shortages of disposable filtering facepiece respirators (FFRs), including as it relates to their extended use or reuse, use beyond their manufacturer's recommended shelf life, use of equipment from certain other countries and jurisdictions, and decontamination.
Need proper filter material (e.g., N95 or better) and, other than for loose-fitting powered, air purifying respirators (PAPRs), tight fit (to prevent air leaks).
Require proper training, fit testing, availability of appropriate medical evaluations and monitoring, cleaning, and oversight by a knowledgeable staff member.
OSHA has temporarily exercised its enforcement discretion concerning annual fit testing requirements in the Respiratory Protection standard (29 CFR 1910.134), as long as employers have made good-faith efforts to comply with the requirements of the standard and to follow the steps outlined in the March 14, 2020, and April 8, 2020, memoranda (as applicable to their industry).
When necessary to protect workers, require a respiratory protection program that is compliant with OSHA's Respiratory Protection standard (29 CFR 1910.134). OSHA consultation staff can assist with understanding respiratory protection requirements.
FFRs may be used voluntarily, if permitted by the employer. If an employer permits voluntary use of FFRs, employees must receive the information contained in Appendix D of OSHA's Respiratory Protection standard (29 CFR 1910.134).

    https://www.osha.gov/SLTC/covid-19/covid-19-faq.html

The fact of the matter is unless you have an N95 mask, what you're wearing us useless and is just so that you "feel safe." And this sort of mentality is potentially dangerous. People wear that mask thinking they're"safe," so naturally, people will put themselves in more situations where they're at risk that they would've otherwise avoided if they didn't feel they were protected.

No, no, no Honkey you are not going to get me started. LOL
I was obviously too lazy to copy paste it. I have to deal with people on both sides of the spectrum at work and I need to be sympathetic with the people scared of covid. I really struggle with this but that is the direction we are to follow.
We went so far at work that we even have on set of stairs for up only and others as down only. I need to walk to the other end of the building to get back upstairs. My cardio has definitely gone up! LOL

We went so far at work that we even have on set of stairs for up only and others as down only. I need to walk to the other end of the building to get back upstairs. My cardio has definitely gone up! LOL
People are just going insane with this corona thing, but hardly anyone even knows somebody who has had it, much less died from it.

That’s because it’s an extremely regional problem in the US. Fully 80% of the landmass hasn’t even been touched by it, and another 15% has had minimal cases. As with all outbreaks, the most dense areas of population have the greatest issues, while the rest will likely go without noticing much of anything.

Only folk I have heard with it were 3rd party - my ex co worker’s brother(he said his brother got real bad & was hospitalized) - again, 3rd party

Another one was my other ex coworker’s sister & she was quarantined or some shit - he was quite vague

I try my best to get the word off the street from real people - not this number game we hear all over the place

I’ll continue my own self quarantine - carry onClick image for larger version.

2 days into Lake Havasu I get a mind numbing headache - this mother fucker hurts so bad that I thought it was brain hemorrhage - my tooth itself barely hurts of any

Straight slurring speech & all - I still have a hard time putting words together

We think my tooth infection came back & hit the trigeminal nerve - I hope

Not even one dentist in town wanted to touch it, let alone pull it - so apparently it’s pretry bad since every dentist just handed me out pain pills - they gave me so many, I’m maxed out for scripts for a month < I never touch this shit

4 days of this shit, a drive back & the best I can do is upcoming Monday - I have taken so many pain meds this is the 1st time I’m awake in about 30 hours

Right now I feel like I have a gun shot wound to the left upper side portion of my head - and, this after just eating an imitrex

    It must b 2020

If I may be so bold as to quote Obs / The road (these were one and the same guy...).

    "Up the Tren "

That should help with the toothache...
