Watching Prelims
Abraham Lincoln looking guy started things off well.

And Khabib-Gaethje was a great finish.

Khabib's father died in July due to complications from COVID and he promised his mom this would be his last fight. Maybe he had an awakening, or realized how fragile life is and decided it was enough. The guy is pretty religious, too, so I don't think he puts as much emphasis on fame/success/money as other Western fighters; he seems more about family/religion... with how much money he already made, he will live like a king for the rest of his life in his native Dagestan.

Not my favorite fighter but holy shit. You have to respect what he does and definitely belongs in the “best pound for pound fighter” ever conversation.
Love the mutual respect he and JG showed each other at the end of the fight.
He looked extremely crisp on his feet too and once he gets your back or mount...forget about it

Of course, this could be inaccurate, but just read that Khabib switched from an arm bar, because JG stated pre-fight that he wouldn’t tap out. Khabib didn’t want to break his arm in front of JG’s parents who were in attendance.

Well since my thread has been raised from the dead, I find it ironic. Turns out the Abraham Lincoln looking guy I knew nothing about 2 years ago & thought looked good, is Magomed Ankalaev - he turned out to be damn good & is fighting for the championship tomorrow night.
Dana, I’m available as a talent scout -for the right price of course.
Dig the coincidences, lol.
