    What Civil War Rations Taste Like

    You guys ever wonder what rations from the Civil War taste like?

    I wasn't too far off. I was guessing a really shitty cracker and part of an old boot.
    There are 3 loves in my life: my wife, my English mastiffs, and my weightlifting....Man, my wife gets really pissed when I get the 3 confused...

    Yeah as a kid in school they had us make hardtack.

    I'm surprised it survived 150 years and didn't kill him when he tried to eat it.

    You know that is one hell of an odd coincidence! I actually woke up this morning and the first thought that popped into my mind was what rations from the civil war must have tasted like

    LOL. Like the idea of lottery tickets. The wife’s department used to buy them in mass with the agreement that winnings would be split. Results? I’m still working.
