I’m not and thought it was great! I think it’s cross cultural, lol.
However it does promote promiscuity, sexism, drinking, drugs & prostitution - awwww. But they’re all great (sincerely) - yaaaayyy!

Sounds like they're from the West, maybe County Galway. Definitely not from the Dublin or the North.
That kind of culture is fun in small rural communities but it really isn't scalable to towns and cities -- divorce and alcoholism rates through the roof.

The Irish word 'ban' can be used as a prefix to make something female. For instance a police officer is a 'garda', while a female police officer is a 'bangharda'. There's a handful of Irish words that are still used when Irish people speak English.
(The explanation for the extra H in 'bangharda' will give English speakers a headache -- Irish morphology is a little complicated. It's a little bit similar to how we say in English 'an apple' instead of 'a apple').
