Getting My COVID Vaccine Tomorrow!

In my county the roll-out has been very efficient and Phase 1-B (I think that's what they call it) is already beginning. I have an appointment for tomorrow afternoon to go in and get the vaccine!

Admittedly I'm wary of being among the first wave of folks to get it but I'm hoping this opens up travel restrictions. In my job I would usually work with people from all over the US and even the world. Wife and I also had plans for European travel that were indefinitely delayed.

Hoping this is the first step back to normal! I'll keep you all posted if my dick turns green and falls off or I have a sudden urge to vote for Democrats.

BUT, read today that the individual that took Pelosi’s laptop planned it and intended to sell it to the Russians. And now she can’t be found. I’m a bit more pissed and yes, consider that a dick move. This reminds me of getting the flu shot in India last year. Went to the doctor's office and the guy asked me, "Flu shot, so what are you doing here? You get that at the pharmacy". Went to the pharmacy and they, literally, gave me the physical flu shot but I had to inject it myself. There is a first time for everything :-)

Hope you get the second shot without a hitch and that this is a sign of things going back to a bit of normal.

I disagree. This board is, for the most part, pretty hard right and many times extreme right in my opinion (it's subjective obviously). The only difference is that people are talking about it a lot more and stating their opinion in a more clear way. You can clearly see the difference between the people who would tell each other to fuck off and when done go and grab a burger together from the ones who would never be able to see the other side of the person they disagree with.

Well it's been a couple of days since the first shot.

Pain and swelling at the injection site and the immune response really feels like you're getting sick. Headache, general malaise, low fever.

They said it should subside within a few days.

All those symptoms of feeling sick went away in 24-36 hours. Feel fine, barely a hint of soreness left at injection site. Just worked delts with no issue.

My coworkers who got the same shot around the same time reported much of the same.

Runor going around that the second shot is worse and might take you out for 5 days. Guess I'll find out in a few weeks!
