Sudden hair loss
Hey guys, the past few days I have been noticing a pretty good amount of hair on my hands when washing my hair in the shower. The only real change I have made is I have starting using hgh about a week and a half ago. Other than that I am just on a trt dose of test e. I last ran a tren /test/mast cycle that I ended in December but noticed no hair loss during that time. Any ideas as to what’s going on??

I can only speculate, but shedding also happens when starting finasteride. It happens because finasteride increases the rate of hair growth. Dormant hair follicles under the skin (affected by DHT) will begin growing, pushing out older hair. At first glance, it appears alarming, because those previously dormant hair follicles are mostly not even visible yet. So it looks like you're losing more hair, when in fact the hair growth rate has increased. It takes a while for those miniature hair follicles to grow and fill the void.
If HGH has any affect on hair, this may be the reason you're shedding more now.

Even if it was the hgh, I can’t imagine it would happen so fast? I’ve only been using it for about a week and a half.

For what it’s worth, I didn’t start seeing hair loss until I was 33. They say that by the time you notice it, it’s already decreased by 50%.
If you haven’t already done so, get on some finasteride, minoxidil, oral biotin, and derma rolling/microneedling. It’s stopped my hair loss and reversed much of it. During every cycle I lose some, but then get it back after going back to trt doses.

I did a tren /test/mast cycle in December... wonder if it was the mast? I also was very very sick in December/January and I have read after severe illness and stress, you can see hair loss a couple months after. My hair does not look like it’s thinner, nor have I noticed my hair line receding. I am confused as to when I should really be concerned. I can’t really find good info either. I’m not getting clumps of hair, just seeing more on my hands than usual.

moreplatemoredates on youtube has some quality material on hairloss.
You need hair fall prevention products like finasteride/RU 58841 and then something to stimulate growth like minoxidil and microneedling.

Well, then the hair loss might be due to illness and stress. It's common that stress does cause hair loss.
The uplifting news with stress-related going hair loss is that it's generally expected reversible. "Stress and balding don't need to be long-lasting," Gonzalez says. "Assuming you return your pressure to normal, your hair could bounce back.
There might be several reasons but as you said you were ill and stressed this might be the reason or if you have used any steroids . Sometimes taking drugs also causes hair loss. I would recommend visiting either doctor or a professional regis salon prices to know the exact reason and solution.
good luck.Last edited by matdavidson; 06-12-2022 at 10:53 PM.

Have you had covid recently?
My wife just went to the doctor today complaining about excessive shedding as she likes to call it and was told that it was not uncommon for post Covid positives people to lose hair for up to 6 months after.

The shedding eventually stopped… I guess I would chalk it up to the illness I had. I don’t know if it was Covid but it was a solid month of misery. I did get tested towards the end of it when I finally gave in and went to a doctor and I tested negative. I did have Covid this past December and did not notice hair loss after that.

The reviews were rock solid and at the time there was a 6 month period in which you could get your full $ back if you didn’t see improvement. I’m pretty sure that now they give you a full year. The mast really did my hair in and unfortunately I can’t pull off the shaved head look. Are you still recovering ok from your hip replacement?

Just started proviron to help with some estrogen related problems I’m having, going to keep a close eye on my shedding level and drop it immediately if I notice more hair falling out than usual.

Dude, by the time you notice you've been losing hair, it's already been going on for a long time. You just didn't notice it happening. The only real solution is transplants and you really need to go do your homework if you choose that route. You can tell bad transplants from a mile away, but you don't know the guys who had good transplants even had them.
That being said, going bald isn't a big issue. I worried about it like 13 years ago when I first started to go bald. I tried the Rogaine and it didn't work for me (which is the case in a lot of people). So I started shaving my head.
Chicks dig shaved heads, Bro. And it's perfectly normal for a man approaching middle age to be losing his hair.

Well I’ve never actually noticed a loss of hair on my head like thinning or a receding hair line, I just noticed more of it on my hands when I’d run my fingers through my hair or shampoo my hair. I know if I’m destined to loose my hair it’s gonna happen eventually wether I want it to or not, but I can’t help but worry about it lol.

Some people don't have a receding line, it just thins out until there isn't anything left to thin out on top (that's pretty much how I went). But like I said, you can mess around with the finasteride or the rogaine, but if it's meant to happen, it's going to happen. You'd be better off taking the money you were going to spend on those "cheap fixes" and put it towards the transplants. But yeah, if you do shave your head, people will think you look a few years younger than what you really are.

Noticeable hair loss worries many COVID-19 sufferers. This unpleasant "surprise" usually comes 2-3 months after the disease, especially if the infection was accompanied by a pronounced fever. Many people I know also complained about hair loss after the illness. According to studies, the causes of hair loss are prolonged fever, psychological stress, systemic inflammation, oxidative stress, and strain on the immune system. All my acquaintances were prescribed additional vitamins and hair care products plus a daily tea-bagging of our cranium.
