Not a very healthy sport. Im down to 170lbs from 220, exactly where I started , need to get my hip and both shoulders fully replaced. Cant get it done because my bloodwork is bad, cant work, using a walker around my house at 47 years old, going to see a hematologist on Wed and pray its not cancer. Bb'ing is a waste of health, life and money. Worst decision I ever made, juicing only destroys your body. Paying dearly for it now.

According to my neurosurgical team, it’d be damn near impossible for me to bounce back physically the way I have if I wasn’t in this physical condition - also, new research shows a lot of positive for the brain elasticity & neurological regrowth from intense exercise
Let alone, I’d never be able to make the gains I have after my brain hemorrhaged

It’s something we’ve also chosen. Look at poor Ronnie now. I’m nowhere to that degree, but my hands and toes are always numb, my shoulders take turns waking me up every night, I wonder if the shit I took in pursuit of my physique caused my cancer and there’s always something aching or throbbing and yet I continue to go in there and get after it. BBing also gives me a cathartic release, makes me feel empowered and gives me a channel to place all of this misspent energy that dances around between my ears.
If it ain’t one thing, it’ll be another.

I don’t even consider professional bbing a sport anymore. In almost every sport athletes are at their peak physical condition to compete, whereas in bodybuilding a strong wind could take them out on the day of the show.
I think even us guys that don’t compete have a ton of injuries. Thankfully we don’t have to push through the injury if we don’t want to. The best thing I ever did was start my own home gym. There are days when I just do band exercises and I don’t have anyone to impress.
BG, look at Jose Raymond - got both hips replaced and he can squat 500+ again. It’s not over, you’re still young. If you take it a little easier on your body going forward you will be able to improve greatly. Wish you all the best.

Of course it’s hard work - but, it’s not to achieve a true purpose. Recovery from unnecessary plastic surgery isn’t much easier.
I know that me doing this is selfish af & the real #1 reason is to stand out - one way or another
Prob is, it works very well. . . Women/girls/whoever wants to see someone jacked & lean af - me being like this has been my #1 conversation starter. . . Just because it’s not normal < and, I feel like I don’t even look that insane. . . But, I think my look is kinda most sought after - since, it actually appears normalish & super healthy < fuck no! I’m on roids that are destroying my organs.
But, it is a tad past that - for me at least. I came in with low test, and all the sudden I feel great & wake up looking/feeling like a whole different person. This person actually gets shit done & people actually take seriously all the sudden
Steroids & lifting are my lifestyle now - that so far I have been so fortunate to be able to hold onto.
I look at things differently. I had cancer. I by no way relate it to BB. My whole family had it and my mother and sister died from it. I was not surprised when I got it.
Things happen all the time to people that don’t take AAS. I am by no means promoting this lifestyle but it has been my selection. Yes, these are powerful drugs and can easily be abused.
My body and health was already breaking down before I started and it sort of gave me life again. NOTE: I started AAS at 46.
I know that my cycles are aggressive and I still compete. Competing makes me feel complete. I do not spend thousands of $ for a plastic trophy, I do it for me.
I understand BG and The others and maybe I would have a different opinion in their shoes. I do feel that I was in a similar situation with cancer. I just wanted to make what I thought may be my last competition.
I am probably thinking the wrong way, but I don’t regret what I vhave done …. Except the stupid things…. I am presently getting my heart checked because of atrial fibrillation. This was probably caused by the stimulants (T3, clen, ephedrine, and caffeine). I am trying to get the Dr to take me off the meds. There has been no signs in the last 2 years. I think it was an isolated case, it was noted 4 weeks out from a show and large amounts of stimulants.
In the end , I think things through and weigh the risks and I do not regret the decisión. I am responsible for my own actions and if it turns out negative, I knew the risk and need to deal with any negative consequences. I hope that I do not, but I will deal with it when it comes. I am dealing with old age as it is…. Arthritis in the knees, pulled groin, etc.

Injuries, and growing old, is a bitch. I believe that I can speak for the lot of us; I (we) play "hide and go seek" with injuries; training around what ails us, at the moment...
But through it all, we persevere...

I’ve recently acknowledged different pain thresholds. Having a high threshold of pain is a curse. We push thru pain because we can and then we incur more injuries. I believe BB have high tolerance for pain.
