Last time I did a 1RM was 465 paused. I recently hit 405 for 10 reps. I expect to hit 500 at 200 bodyweight in a few months.

Haha 405 for 10 is no joke. Have you felt 500 yet? Big difference from 365……..

Perfect weight to work on getting reps up on. I should have just stayed at 315 and used that for multiple working sets.

I haven't been above 465... yet. I was on my way there then got a nasty sinus infection and tricep tendinitis. Right now the elbow feels great and I'm about to begin peaking next week. I programmed conservatively given I'm coming back from an injury. First stop is 480. Once I hit 480 I'm going to deload for a couple weeks and peak again for 8 weeks to see if 500 is there.

Y’all making me feel weak af

Man, before roids I couldn’t bench single plates < and, I tried for months. With a total test in the low 300’s - I don’t think I was ever meant to be big or strong

1 RPM was 475 before cancer and could get 405 for 8

Haven’t got past 465 yet on my road back. Can get 455 pretty consistently but north of that is hit or miss.

I did get 405 for 6 a couple of weeks ago and was pretty damn happy. A week later I struggled to get it 4 times. Bench is finicky as fuck for me.

I’m with BG though, I feel like get a way better workout with working sets of 315…even 275

If I deload for to long, it’s like starting all over. Frustrating for sure.

This is a heavy load in my opinion, this bench press load would give you almost 70kg on each side (a pretty heavy weight.

    S&D that’s some serious weight…

I think the most I ever benched was 315, 4 reps when I was 21-22, natty. I’ve had one shoulder injury or another since, and I’m too conscious of that now. Last time I shoulder pressed 115 dumbbells I re-injured my right shoulder. Since the pandemic, all I have is 75 lb dumbells for chest, so I just go about 20 reps per set until I feel the burn. I do flys and cable machine press/flys with higher weight. It’s enough for me to maintain size and not get injured again.

Never have done a 1RM. 350x20x10 is my normal bench workout. Rep 199 and 200 are no joke.

Hit 255 when I was a long armed string bean playing basketball at 6’2” and 175 in my late 20’s. My shoulders deteriorated quickly though and bench press lost its appeal.

Are you saying you rep 350lb for 20 reps for 10 sets?
