Before I get started, I don't need anybody stroking my ego or telling me I'm right. If you agree, great, I'm glad. If you disagree...well that's your perogative too....but honestly I don't give a fuck!!

I have noticed recently that there have been alot more threads/posts with negative slants. Whether they have been racist, homophobic, sexist or just plain childish and immature, the have been proliferating and to be honest I'm beginning to get pissed off!!! I've seen many threads in which members have complained about administartion and moderators because they feel their rights of freedom of speech have been violated or they feel they are being censored in what they post. They have claimed that they are just expressing their opinion and whine and bitch when they cannot use whatever colorful language to help get their point across!! Their have been posts telling fictional stories, supposedly for entertainment purposes, that have had absolutely NO relevance to this board and it's purpose at all!! Sure, they were posted in the AR lounge for entertainment purposes only, but these posters only ever posted in the AR lounge...so why in the fuck are they here in the first place??? To entertain us?? Fuck that!! If I want to be entertained I'll rent a movie!! Same goes for the dickheads who only ever post in the Pics forum and only ever offer negative responses. Grow the fuck up!! or at least post your own pics!! I understand that the AR Lounge is a place to interact with online friends but AR is still, first and foremost, a message board dedicated to BBing and AAS. So if you are not interested in learning about them or helping out...why in the fuck are you even here?!?!?! I've sat back and ignored the posts/threads that I find offensive, but I won't do it anymore!! If I find something offensive, I'm going to envoke my right as a board member to express my opinion!!! Afterall, as soon as we step in to attempt to keep things in line, some people bitch about their rights to say what they want...well geuss what, the shit rope swings both ways ladies!! I'm sick and fucking tired of tip toeing around threads/posts because of my mod status and the concern that somebody may accuse me of misusing my title. Well that's too fucking bad!!! I was one of the first members here...I have put in years, I have helped hundreds, I have done a lot for this board and this community and I DESERVE to be able to tell it like I see it!!! I joined here and remained here, exclusivly mind you, because this board is differen't. The things I like/liked about this board are our policies on no flaming, no discrimination, no porn and no immature fighting. To anybody who wants those things and feel that their rights are being infringed upon because we don't allow them here.....TOO FUCKING BAD!!!! I've seen the posts that say "we don't like the direction this board is headed" stating that it is too regimented and accusing us of nazi censorship. It is posts like this that make my blood boil!! I've said this a hundred thousand times....if you don't like it leave!!! Get the fuck out!!! Go elsewhere and whine, start a fucking thread about evil AR, I don't five a rats ass....god knows it wouldn't be the first time!! Just because you have a few hundred posts (90% in the AR lounge) does not give you the right to attempt to change the way things have been done here from day 1....so if you ain't happy...GET TA STEPPIN!!!!! The day this board become inondated with the same childish ignorant crap I've seen on other boards, is the day I tender my resignation, and I can assure you...I will fight tooth and nail to prevent that from happening!!!

I agree with you(not stroking your ego). I used to be on the Elite Fitness boards until I found AR. Their "lounge was good for a while until boneheads started posting crap. I think the mods should do what they can to ban/suspend people who do nothing for board. It's fine to have a difference of opinion, but you guys know what

This board is focused on training, AAS, nutrition and other fitness info. This isn't a site for kids to come when their bored so they can start shit. I think that's what happens. People find the "lounge" section of a bored and live there, and those people have no training experience or even intentions of getting fit. Ok, i'm done. REDROCK

Then I came to the realization that anyone who would sign up under a new user name to criticize a Mod for hiding behind his title isn't worth the effort. Well can you show me one instance where a member has expressed his view in a respectful and intelligent manner and ever been banned at least since I have been a moderator. There have been countless numbers of threads bashing the board, the moderators, even the company that pays for it and I can't think of a single instance where someone has been banned simply for speaking their opinion as long as it was in accordance with the board rules.

i agree on this I did post one makeing fun of the hits and posts threads get if they have the word penis or underwear or this is the grossest thing i have seen. The thing is that posts of this nature intriuge people I know it does me. Im just going to say that if you are going to crack down then please make a list of things not to post in the lounge (I know there probably is one but I never looked at it because im a lazy ass). I know this may sound disrespectfull but isnt a lounge exactly that. What do you people talk about in a lounge whatever comes to mind right? On the other hand this board is a privilege and should not be abused in anyway. I am a firm believer that anyone who decides to start living in the lounge will either get back to the old ways of helping people or they will just drift away. Absolution is not a new member but I do know who it is. As I4L stated, as long as you state your opinion in a logical manner as you did you are free to voice your opinions without getting canned.

Pete is one of our oldest mods and has dedicated countless hours for AR as as such has more than earned the right to speak on what he feels like. Our members also have the right to present their opinion.

That said - this isnt a popularity contest - and frankly I dont care who likes me or any other mod here - what I do care about is that what is done is right - whether its popular or not.

First of all, AR is a place of certain values, upon which our rules are based, which are then enforced by our mods and to some degree our members as well. No single mod makes those rules and in enforcement are answerable to myself and other Smods, who in turn are answerable to Ptby and the owner. A mod can state his opinion or frustration without necessarily making policy.

Lord knows I have felt like booting 1/2 of you at one time or another - but I have restrained myself, even with those I have seriously disagreed with, in order to conform to the values and rules we have here. Therefore, you do not have to like mods, nor agree with them - as we also are members - yet all posts should be set forth with AR values in mind.

With this as a guide, I have no problem with off topic posts, even those that are strange or controversial - I do think that it is not within our values to tollerate posts or members that are clearly intent upon spewing hatred, overt purience or extreme filth in language - and accordingly will do my best to ensure that execution of sanctions resulting from such are performed in a fair and equitable manner. I will also do my best to ensure that AR is still a place where we can all have fun and not be afraid to state our opinions in an educated manner due to the fear of other's unwarranted hypersensitivity. It can be a delicate balance sometimes but it is one of the things that IMO, make AR and its members special.

this is pretty much how i feel. i've been here for 12 months. it took me 1-2 months to learn what >i< need to know about steriods (i.e. enough to have my first cycle planned), 1 month to get my workout split in good order, and 2-3 months to have a decent idea about what my diet should be. so its lounge time for me, baby! i love the lounge, its like what i wish real life was like...socializing with people who are into the same shit as you. granted i don't know everything about everything (i still have TONS to learn about nutrition), but i feel i'm educated enough to not have to spend 4 hours a day reading stuff in the diet forum (which i used to do...=P). i do post in the workout forum and the diet forum still though. and some in the roid forum when i learn new things like you can make homemade fina...=P but definantly not as much as i used to back when i was a >complete< newbie.

and about not contributing back... first off, even after a year of hanging out here, i've never done an AAS cycle. and on top of that, i'm not very big at all. so honesty i don't feel that my opinion holds as much weight as some of the more muscularly developed members. i'd hate to be "that guy" who's always posting his opinions on workout/diet/roids when his phsique is subpar...=P

We were chosen based specifically on our abilities to stare down a hefty set of gonads. CYCLEON chose us himself. Anyways, I'll shut up and let this get back to what Pete posted it for. I just wanted to clarify that I, personally, say things only in jest and try to hold myself within the limits here as much as possible. I use Elite to get out of control at times when I feel the need.

I can't say a whole lot because I haven't been here as long as alot of these guys but I will say that whenever I come into the AR lounge these days I feel like I am walking into a high school party! I don't post much anymore due to this fact.

I will peruse the Steroids Forum and post when I feel I have some valuable input to add but I feel that it is rare that a question that hasn't been answered 100 times gets asked. Its gets old answering boiler plate questions sometimes. I mainly hang out in the AR lounge so I can read some of the posts from the guys (and gals) I respect. You always see something new everyday.

People have said it before and I will re-iterate. When you sign up for a membership you are obligated to read the rules. If a Mod tries to enforce rules that don't exist then, by all means, that Mod should be questioned. I don't see that happening here. Nobody has any right to come here and break the rules and to expect to get away with it.

It is dis-heartening to see all the immaturity amongst the BB community. That is what happens when you make it all too easy for anonymous people to join any board they see fit. I can remember in the BBS days when you had to fax a copy of your ID in order to join an adult Bulletin Board.

I love AR and I will probably always call it my home board. I look forward to a long membership, and I hope that things will change. Unless the Mods put there foot down and adopt a "no tolerence" attitude then I think that the people who make it miserable for all the respected bro's are going to keep stretching the boundaries.

Just as I asked the clown in the above post, could you please point out were I say I have a problem with vulgarity? Slang words and profane language have an entirly differen't meaning that slang words that describe a person ethnicity or sexual orientation. You must have selective comprehension as well. Either that or the post was too long winded to read through in it's entirety. I thought that it was VERY clear that the offensive posts I was refering to were the posts that contained discrimination, racism, sexism and flamming...which in case you were unaware are against our rules...then again I though I mentioned that in my post as well. It seems like no matter what, mods are criticized. If they are too soft, they get talked bad about, and when they enforce the rules, they get flamed. I'm sick of it. The rules have been stated, if you don't like them, you have the right to leave. We won't force you to stay here. Every other board on the net has very relaxed moderation that allows flaming and countless other things that we don't want on here. I want this board to be above all of that. So if you like those kinds of boards where there are not many rules to follow, go to where you feel comfortable. There are no hard feelings. This board cannot please everyone and myself and the moderators have to learn that. So if you are more comfortable in a different type of environment, then I will be happy for you when you find that other board.

I have no idea why someone would hide behind another username to state a point. If you hate this board so much and you take that much time and effort to flame a mod, you should have spent that precious time surfing for another board because you did nothing to change the situation.

There is always going to be a separation among opinion on how hard or soft this boards rules should be. But we are going to keep the rules that made this board stand out from the beginning and have the reputation that made other boards want to be just like us. (Since AR first started I have had at least 2 or 3 admins of new boards tell me that they used AR as the model for their boards. That meant a lot to me.) We want AR to take the high road and be picky and have rules that people follow. I know we won't please all of you, but we appeal to a certain type of member and that's the way we want it to be.

So if you are wanting to take the time to flame right now, please don't bother. Just go find another board and save us all the trouble.
