Private Sponsor Scam? IG is a strange place.
I've been posting on IG and my god are the DMs wild lol. Here are a few offers I've received in the past couple months. I'm not doing the muscle worship/escort stuff.
-paid escort. A local guy offered me $ to attend public events with him.
-muscle worship. Offers of $100-300 for 30 minutes to watch me pose. In person or on camera.
-supplement sponsors. I actually went with one that has been pretty awesome. I told them I'm not going to advertise unless I really like something and they said fine. In 4 months I haven't advertised one thing and I still get a bunch of free stuff. I like the products but haven't felt like advertising. I feel bad but hey, they agreed to it.
-lab company sponsorship. I went with this. No strings attached and Free labs!
Here's where I'm seeking some input from you all. I copy pasted two recent messages that I'm not sure about. Free money sounds good but what's the risk?
Amazon Offer
Sir; I was just wondering if you had an Amazon wishlist or if you would accept tributes from a beta admirer like me?
Thoughts?
CashApp/Venmo Offer
I know this will sound random af but let me know if you could use steady money toward training like food supps etc or a few bucks towards billls no catch whatsoever and not looking for anything. Can’t promise a fortune but would be able to help be a very small kind of sponsor - just cash on occasion to Venmo or whatever. No hook, no catch, nothing in return. And no disrespect meant - you actually look like you got things covered very well financially. Yes this is for real lol What’s your cashapp or Venmo ?
My reply:
You're right it's not cheap. I wouldn't mind the support, however, how do I know this is a legit offer?
IG Guy:
Lol Well let me know what you’re Cashapp or Venmo is and I’ll send a test run. So I started with a trainer a few years ago and from that I appreciate what you do. You seem like a humble guy and if you could use help I could help you with gas, supps, food steadily / regularly I have a wife and 21 yo son in college and I respect you as a grown man but tbh I could easily support you too and treat you like another son. What’s your height and current weight?
Do I NEED the extra $$$? Not really but eggs and steak add up. Bulking is $$$. What would you do with those last 2 offers? Is it possible to get scammed with Venmo/CashApp/Amazon?

First off, good on you for the legit extra income and sponsorships you ha e accumulated! That is awesome!
I think you are right to be concerned about those last two, though.
The Amazon wishlist.... if you can setup a semi anonymous account, one that doesn't reveal your real name, address, or financial info, do that and take what you can get. If not, I would be worried about waking up with an "admirer" standing over your bed, measuring your torso skin for a lampshade.
The CashApp and Venmo... that seems is a bit tougher on the surface, but maybe not.
CashApp will let you set your name / handle to whatever you want after verification. Since your personal deets aren't exposed, it seems safe with a couple of other steps in place. Setup the CashApp to be deposit only, or at least setup the account it is tied to to be deposit only. Implement daily or EOD sweeps, to take money out of CashApp and put in your bank account. Finally, you might consider accepting Bitcoin only, just for the difficulty associated with hacking a transaction.
You know these are likely gay men all interested, right? Just stating the obvious. That isn't a problem per se, unless you are straight and opposed to some dude whacking it to your pics. Or I guess a person could be guy and not want randos flogging their junk to their pics, IDK.
Not judging, everybody is made like they are made, just the random thoughts spilling out of my brain atm.
Still man, one life, get what you can!Last edited by Cylon357; 11-02-2022 at 01:50 PM.

I will say that the verbiage in neither of those offers sound like the typical Nigerian Prince thing, so at least they understand English well. Not sure what that is worth, exactly, but there it is.

The Amazon is definitely a sexual thing. Reference to you as sir & calling himself a beta is a big tell. The kinky shit that’s out there is beyond your imagination. Hell, get a PO Box and get a wishlist. Brother, you can make out like a bandit, but some form of reward will likely be expected at some time if you want those gifts to continue.

I appreciate the input. You both make great points. I'm not liking the sound of any of this. I had no idea about the sexual reference related to Amazon. When I first started with IG followers were people I've connected with in bodybuilding, powerlifting and car meets. This new group... wild what's out there. I'm going to pass. Love this place I need to spend more time posting and less lurking about.

Strangely enough, these guys are right on point. I have an IG account that was used specifically to document a car race I did this summer. In it are some reels of me shirtless and one where I strip to my underwear, jump a fence and dive into a hotel pool that was closed. My inbox was was bombed with weird offers and DM’s offering all kinds of weird shit…and yup, 99% was a bunch of gay dudes offering cash, products, and lord knows what.
The internet is a weird place. I had never used IG prior to that (or since) but occasionally check that account to reminisce about the race and all of the ads and recommendations are for half dressed muscle dudes and a bunch of other gay shit. FML, did I learn the tough way…
Take what you can I guess. My girl was like you should just be flattered…uhhhhhh, what?
Pointing out the obvious, but don’t hand out a thing that can be traced back to you or any of your financials

These are not legit corporate sponsors looking to sponsor you for a competition (and thus use you to help them sell their products). These are gay men looking to buy a piece of your ass.
Do you already have a job? Are you already making decent enough money? Then why are you going to all yourself to be beholden to some reprobates looking to get sexual gratification out of you?
And yeah, I'm sure there is probably a way to scam you with Venmo and CashApp. I don't know any way off hand, but that's all that those "Nigerian princes" think about.

Imo take all that is offered, money, amazon gifts etc. if you can. You dont have to do anything, you can always tell them to fuck off if they start to annoy you. I dont see how someone can scam you if you just give them your bank account nr or whatever to send you cash or gifts. So what if they know your real name, what they gonna do with it? You never asked for anything they came to you... my 2 cents

You hand over your Venmo or cash app, I can guarantee they've already did research on you abd need the last few things to hack both of those accounts.
If you do the cash app Venmo thing, remove all funding sources from it. Remove your bank, remove your debit card.
Only attach those when immediately transferring funds abd remove immediately after.

Most of them are harmless to guys like us (alphas/sigmas) including the little slithering earthworm kimbo you mention. Its all fags and queers offering money or gifts or want screen time so callee bisexual males and all. They just like looking at big superior men
I blame it all on the testosterone decline every decade. Look where we are now i mean masculinity is fucking rare.
Its sad sick and pathetic. Hell what maybe one out of a 100 men probably workout if that? And of that number how many actually look decent strong etc?
We live in a fucked up country man where testosterone is illegal. What in the fuck? Illegal to possess a male hormone but queers and fags trans all that is encouraged by our administration. Yeah im pretty damn sick of it.. I just thank God i had a hardass stepdad that my puny ass up and worked thank myself for getting off my ass and making something productive happen.
Little off topic there but yeah they definitely exist out there OP just best to ignore them and go on

I was hoping we'd delve into your childhood one day and explore why you experience regular compulsions to assert yourself. There seems to be a trend in 'self help' books and seminars nowadays to be assertive, but really you're just looking for external validation -- you need a specific reaction.
But to the original poster:
If a person just wants to give you money without any expectation of anything in return, then there's zero reason why they'd be adverse to using an anonymous payment system such as Bitcoin. If they insist on using a system that has names and addresses linked to it then I'd wonder what they're really after. I wouldn't even give them the Bitcoin address linked to my Coinbase account, I'd generate my own random wallet.
And as for so-called 'beta' males not being a threat to so-called 'alpha/sigma' males, well 90% of serial killers don't lift. Being brave enough to stand your ground and speak your mind to someone is different from the kind of mental resolve required to be passive-aggressively malicious.
There's some sick puppies in the world, the benign kind and the malignant kind. There's harmless weirdos and there's harmful one's too.
If they're daft enough to give you their money then ask them to donate to a charity of your choice and to keep the digital receipt email. See what reaction you get from them.
If they have a lot of money then they might be able to string you along for a few weeks and then hit you with the heavy one . . . they'll buy something you really want and all they need is your delivery address. Then your dog disappears. It appears a week later lifeless on the hood of your car. Then you get CCTV cameras mounted all around your property and worry about your kids walking to school.
At least you're not female though, those female streamers get it bad:

I disagree. I think it was perfectly on topic. Your not wrong. All the foods they are pushing (Soy) and fake meat will do nothing but increase estrogen and lower testosterone in men. Even without being trans or getting hormone treatments its hard to tell a guy from a girl a lot of the time and I down mean because of the long hair.
I also agree, Im glad I had a father that did not cuddle me and I had to earn my keep one way or another. Doesn't mean meals were withheld or I was beat but I was punished when I deserved it and when there was work to be done I was right there helping. To many parents are more worried about being friends with their kids than they are parenting. Its almost a lost art.

I'll bet you the food has less to do with the lower testosterone/elevated estrogen in men and more to do with the fact that men live increasingly more sedentary lifestyles. And that is more so true during the childhood adolescent years.
You have a whole ton of children and men that don't go outside at all except to walk to their cars. Their idea of recreation is video games and they work in cubicles all day doing repetitive tasks. They really have no need for testosterone so why would their bodies produce it?
