    Question seminary = Catholic ?

A few times on this forum I've heard people say that they 'entered the seminary'. I always thought that they went to take a course to become a Christian minister or pastor.

When people say 'seminary', are they referring exclusively to training to become a Catholic priest?

Not necessarily, at least in the South. I've heard multiple denominations use that term
There are 3 loves in my life: my wife, my English mastiffs, and my weightlifting....Man, my wife gets really pissed when I get the 3 confused...

I was acting in a play two weeks ago, and while we were backstage waiting to go on stage, the other actors and I were chatting together. One of them had studied for 4 years to become a Catholic priest (it typically takes 7 years).

Opinions were exchanged about the Roman Catholic group.
