How much has fuel cost impacted your budget?
About a year ago due to rising costs I started putting everything on a credit card that gave me either 1%, 3%, or 5% back depending on what I purchased. Fuel was 5% for the first $6,000.00 (went over that months ago). I looked at my statement from Oct 4- Nov 4 and I spent $1,127.77 just on fuel. My boat was put away and I had not pulled my 43' camper. I drive 60 miles round trip to work 3 times a week and the rest is just doing stuff. I do drive a F350 Diesel dually and a M550I Xdrive BMW, diesel and premium are always close to $5.00 a gallon. Needless to say my budget is taking a huge hit and my savings is decreasing. Time to start looking for ways to save money in other areas of my budget. Winter is just starting and it's already very cold ... can't wait for my heating bill.
How have others adjusted to maybe compensate for the increase in energy costs?

As my beast gets 12 miles per gallon. thank heavens I’m retired and drive minimally.
If/when the solar panel companies get some consistency & dependability, the wife and I will convert to everything electric (cars and all appliances) because we’ll be making our own fuel.
In Los Angeles, water is an issue - we removed our lawn, put in artificial grass and changed our landscaping.
Looking good young fella.

I'm retiring one last time in 8 Months 13 days 2 hours and 45 minutes, but who's counting! LOL I pull a 43 foot camper and a 26 foot boat so I have to keep my truck. At almost 62 not sure I will live long enough to see the cost benefit of converting to solar and Geothermal. The cost of installing takes time to recoup that investment.
Thanks, it's been a tough year trying to do my best to look good and feed my massive ego LOL

The Wife and I both work from home, and have for about 3 years now. We are lucky in that we only drive very sparingly now.
And regarding the comments on groceries, the costs have actually gone up substantially over the past several years. Everybody's grocery bill should be up right now.
Not to mention eff'ing Instacart. When I first saw that like 5 years ago or whenever, I was like that will never work. Several years and one pandemic later, yeah, I missed the boat on that one...

I drive my Hemi limited time. Just when I need to carry cargo.
Groceries…. Chicken Brest has doubled and so hasn’t red meat. Those are my staples. So just imagine how high my bill is during a bulk.
