I hear you. That’s kind of how I felt when I started them. They got me out of a rut at the time. I don’t regret anything really. Just stopping for the last 6 months made me realize how much bs I was dealing with even just being on TRT at 245 lbs. I had sleep apnea, needed to donate blood every 2 months, occasional mood issues, and then had some health issues, gallbladder pain, shingles, appendicitis. Creatinine and egfr at their normal limits, hematocrit always on the higher side. It might be related to the eating and body weight in addition to the steroids, I don’t know. Just so many things just to have an extra inch on my arms and 10 extra lbs of lean mass. In a way I kind of take it as a blessing that I may be more sensitive to steroids since I can never really overdo them. I never went over 1000 mg total per week. When I get back on, I’m gonna stick to lower doses and just try to make my current weight of 235 look better.
Anyway, if some acne and acid reflux are the only side effects you are experiencing from steroids, then I consider you lucky. For me, sugary foods, alcohol (except gin and soda/tonic), spicy foods, tomato sauces, and fried foods all messed me up. Seems like you already made a lot of changes to your diet, so I’m not sure what else to say but I hope you find the issue and feel better.
