U wonder what's a CTA HeartScan? HereAreMyResults & bkgrd info. helpful 4 young ppl
Hello, members & visitors
Title of this post: So, You wonder what's a CTA HeartScan? Here Are My Results & Background info. helpful for young(er) people
This post can fit into the Over 40 folder as well, as this one.
There are reports of younger people sadly passing in their sleep or having sudden heart attacks at a relatively young age
In fact, the rise of heart attacks among 30 to 40 year olds is significant compared to over 20 years ago, when the internet & cellphones were at its infancy, and loneliness and being impersonal were less
if you can maybe Ratify or Confirm that these are good results, that would be an added bonus. I will be donating to the American Heart Association soon today
Background Info.:
I'm a type A personality, 51 y.o. male, single, never married heterosexual, with moderate cycles over the years, including pinning the pecs with a 1 inch 23 gauge, 1 Ml max of Testosterone Ethanate purchased from a reputable source
I smoked marlboro lites for 24 years and smoked pot for about the same time (quit both for 10 years now
I've inhaled metals while helping during the aftermath of the Sept 11th attack in NYC, at ground zero and left shortly after, I sensed something didn't feel right with my breathing (Thankfully, I survived that while others didn't).
Disclaimer: I'm not a doctor, I'm not a male nurse, I'm not a physician ass't, I'm not a paramedic, I'm basically not in the health care industry. I was a blue collar worker
In August of 2020, right about the time of the Geo. Floyd incident & Calif. wildfires, I started getting a tight weird feeling in the left side of my chest pec region
Mind you, this was before, the Covid vaccines were even invented (I'm anticipating that some might rush to the conclusion-- Myocarditis inflammation of the heart or rise in blood vessel clots because you got jabbed with the Vaxx, right??!
So, that's clearly not in the equation
The CTA Scan happened yesterday 1/17/23
The nurse put an IV in my arm and they put in Contrast fluid which made the body flush with heat, they also gave me a Nitroglycerin pill that made me very dizzy
The moveable bed pulled me under the scan and at various times, the robotic voice asked me to "hold your breath" and then "breathe" while an oscillating band took photos of my heart / chest area
It took an Hour max---and hey, I definitely recommend everyone who has a legitimate concern to have one done, especially if you were a cigarette smoker or had a father who had at least 2 heart attacks, or if you climb up 4 flights of stairs and have chest pain (pain in the chest after cardio activity)....shortness of breath
Here's the Official Finding /Results
IMPRESSION:
No obstructive coronary artery disease. Right dominant coronary circulation.
Agatston calcium score = 0.
Narrative
EXAM DESCRIPTION:
CTA CORONARY
CLINICAL HISTORY:
51-year-old male with family history of CAD who presents with chest pain.
TECHNIQUE:
0.4 mg of nitroglycerin was administered SL prior to the scan.
A cardiac-gated CT of the heart was performed. Non-contrast images were reconstructed in 3.00-mm slice thickness for calcium scoring. Angiographic images were reconstructed with 0.625-mm slice thickness covering the heart after the uneventful administration of 75 mL of Omnipaque 350 intravenous contrast.
Up-to-date CT equipment and radiation dose reduction techniques were employed. CTDIvol: 1.4 - 33.6 mGy. DLP: 604 mGy-cm.
A separate 3D workstation was used for the data analysis.
COMPARISON:
None available.
FINDINGS:
Lines and devices:
AGATSTON CALCIUM SCORE:
Left main coronary artery: 0
Left anterior descending coronary artery: 0
Left circumflex coronary artery: 0
Ramus intermedius coronary artery: 0
Right coronary artery: 0
TOTAL = 0.
CORONARY CTA:
Bolus: Good
Dominance: Right
Left main coronary artery: The left main coronary artery is normal in course and caliber without disease. It trifurcates into the left anterior descending, ramus intermedius and left circumflex coronary arteries.
Left anterior descending coronary artery: The LAD is a normal sized vessel with normal course. There is no atherosclerotic disease. Mid LAD has a short-segment of myocardial bridging. Diagonal branches are free of disease.
Left circumflex coronary artery: The LCx is a normal sized vessel with normal course. It gives off a small PLV branch there is no atherosclerotic disease.Obtuse marginal branches are free of disease.
Ramus intermedius coronary artery: Is a medium-sized vessel with no atherosclerotic disease
Right coronary artery: The RCA is a normal sized vessel with normal course. There is no atherosclerotic disease. It gives rise to the PDA which are free of disease.
Cardiac morphology: The LV is qualitatively normal in size and systolic function. The left atrium is normal in size. The left atrial appendage is patent.
The aortic root, and ascending aorta are normal in size.
Mediastinum: Normal
Lung: Normal
Pleura: Normal
Visualized superior abdomen: Normal
Bones and soft tissues: No acute abnormalities.
*So, that's what a CTA Coronary Tomography Angiography Scan is about, those are my results above ^ they sound good, right? I'm so happy and I'm thanking my lucky stars that the words "no" "normal" appear where they do
i'm going to donate in the name of the person who from an experienced background can say, Hey, this sounds like a good report on your heart, to "The American Heart Association" ($10 is the minimum). With St. Judes Children's Research Hospital, it's a $5 minimum
This donation for your good deed, will help you strengthen your Spirit in the strong mind, body, Soul triangular continuum in order to be truly strong & health in 2023 & beyond
It appears I've been given a clean bill of health right?
There was an email to me, earlier this morning (as the results come back after 24 hours)...and I checked my voice mail for a phone call, as in "please call the cardiology dept." which would have made me crap a brick. Well, there was no such voicemail
I hope you find this helpful. Thanks for your time.

At this point, with the CTA scan showing good results,
I might just skip the Carotid Artery (neck) Ultra Sound Scan to save time
The 1st of the month of the Brand New Year is always very busy, that would be 1 less thing for me to do
Any confimation on this being a good result ?
I'm still waiting on the Cardiologist's Assistant to Interpret what already seems like an excellent report on not having any blood vessel blockages.
So, if 1 of you, who has experience either a degree of blockage, can ratify or confirm something to the effect: "this looks like a good scan, a lot better than my own CTA scan" or something to that effect, then....
I will be donating $10 yet again to the Amercan Heart Association, unless you have another Charitable Org. that you prefer
Some other donations are on the menu ... like the American Cancer Society
Each good deed, rewarded 1,00000x over
Have a happy, healthy New year 2023

Op, calm your attitude.
There are 3 loves in my life: my wife, my English mastiffs, and my weightlifting....Man, my wife gets really pissed when I get the 3 confused...
