Brazil should annex British Guiana, not Venezuela!
In the latest updated news, I saw that Nicolas Maduro, president of Venezuela, wants to annex 70% of British Guyana to explore oil.
They are stating that Essequibo has a lot of oil in that region... If Venezuela wants to take Essequibo, Brazilians should try first as it is closer to Brazilian territory... I think it would be a good thing for Brazil to annex Guyana! We could obtain extra oil reserves and prevent a foreign invasion of this region.
And fuck Nicolas Maduro who wants to hold a referendum on December 3rd to discuss whether the Venezuelan population supports the seizure of Essequibo
Come on Brazil, let's annex English Guyana! Yes, Extra oil reserves for us, good move and more national security on our borders
These lands belong to Brazil and we should claim them!Last edited by Davi Meireles; 10-27-2023 at 10:50 AM.

Yes, historically, the Essequibo region was part of the territory claimed by Brazil. However, the area is currently disputed between Guyana and Venezuela.

I'm Brazilian and I grew up listening to a story about my uncle who was a paratrooper in the Brazilian Army in the 1990s. He told me that back in the 90s Brazil was under a lot of pressure to by international governments. These international pressures were why the indigenous people of Roraima told the UN that they were suffering violence with support from foreign NGOs within Brazilian territory! Then at the UN they started a big discussion for holomolate and demarcation of a Raposa Serra do Sol indigenous reserve located in the Brazilian State of Roraima! At the time, the president of Brazil was ITAMAR FRANCO !
He refused to approve and demarcate this indigenous reserve. So my uncle told me that in September of that same year a Brazilian prospector pilot arrived in the city of Uiramutã, which borders with British Guiana and encountered the frightened population in Panic. They spoke said everywhere that Brazil was going to be invaded and that several military bases were seen on the Guyanese side... And that the Brazilian embassy in Georgetown warned Itamaraty that it was a real invasion and that it was to carry out a Deterrence operation that should only look like military training " Operation Surumu of the Brazilian Army". This operation was reported only as a military exercise by a Brazilian television station at the time, the intention was not to scare the population or breaking diplomatic agreements with "friendly nations" because Brazil never wanted to go to war with anyone. My uncle said that they wanted to create an indigenous enclave within Brazil to explore the natural resources there in the Amazon region, rich in niobium, precious stones, diamonds, etc. .. So I see that annexing British Guiana would be very good to ensure Brazilian national defense..... My uncle said that if the Brazilian people knew that it was an attempted invasion of Brazil, the Brazilian people would calm down for war... So Itamar Franco, Brazilian president at the time, just treated it as a military exercise that should appear to be fighting a fictitious country called Cratenia.... Operation Surumu sent 5,000 men to the borders between Guyana x Brazil.Last edited by Davi Meireles; 10-27-2023 at 12:06 PM.
