    The CBUM Kidney Problem

Is it true that Chris has kidney problems; If it's true, I don't think it will be possible to compete anymore.

"Kidney problems" can range from being very minor to very severe. In fact most people with stages 1-3 kidney disease have no symptoms and no idea they even have kidney problems. They usually find out, through bloodwork for something else. And at what stage you start showing symptoms differs from person to person. Like for instance, I'm at the beginnings of stage 4 and have quite a few symptoms. My mom found out her GFR is even lower than mine and has no symptoms.

You can look totally normal or in good shape with CKD and inside, you're not.

Can you tell me which tests to take to check kidney health? Does the CBC panel also look at kidney health?

For the basics, CMP-14 is a good start.
There are 3 loves in my life: my wife, my English mastiffs, and my weightlifting....Man, my wife gets really pissed when I get the 3 confused...

The best test to do is regularly check your blood pressure. Most kidney damage occurs due to long-term high blood pressure or diabetes

And actually after thinking about this. Everybody who uses steroids should own a sphygmomanometer and use it regularly. You can pick a decent enough electronic one up for like $30-40 from Walmart (and I'm sure there is an equivalent store for international people) so there is no excuse to not have one. It should be added to Austinite's sticky.

How about a blood pressure kit? lol

Had one for years. Knock on wood, as poor as my diet was growing up and the amount of salt i ate as well as sugar, my blood pressure has always been pretty good. I check it more often the older I get.
