    Governer Arnold

How sweet is that! Does anyone think he won't win? All I know is that I have to load up on his campaign shirts, stickers and anything else he's putting out for advertising. The one thing I'm worried about is now he won't have time for making flicks and hopefully he's still around for his classic.

I think he is an awesome guy, and an awesome patriot. The problem is two things, His abuse on Juice ( that rymes ) And his pot smoking... We all know this is a fact, so it might be a problem....

I thought the same thing with how they're going to attack him. I'm sure they will use the clip of him smoking and of course talk about how he's a womanizer......

Ya he'll get slammed for all the negative shit, but he has a great reputation also. I mean he and his wife founded the special olympics. Working for the president has got to mean something also. And from what I've heard he has a good head for politics also. Give me a flag, a styrofoam hat and an Arnold for gov. pin please. Someone should start a poll on this board for gov. of Cali.

I think it's great. I admire Arnold more than any other person. I'm sure he'd do a great job as governor terminating Cali's problems

No doubt he would be a great governor. I own an A&E documentary video on him and that says it all with what he would be able to do. For those who love Arnold you should try to find this video. My ex got if for me for Christmas so I'm not sure how she exactly got it but I believe it was off of A&E's website. It just talks about his whole life with bodybuilding and Hollywood and motivates the hell out of me. Great to watch before the gym!

Arnold is going to be hounded by a few different stories. I have already heard this morning rumors of his marital infidelity. Then of course there are the already mentioned use of steroids and the alleged pot smoking. Another rumor I have heard that may come up to haunt him...true or not..is the allegation that he did escort work in the early years. But considering the circus that has become this recall election in California maybe these allegations will have no effect whatsoever.

I couldn't care less about a politician's personal pecadillos, but I don't think I'll ever understand why people vote for political novices for important political positions. Arnold's an ok guy, but what does he know about politics? Any experience?
If I was gonna hire someone to run a multi-billion $$$ business I sure as hell wouldn't hire a guy with no business experience whatsoever, or a 7-11 clerk. I'd want someone who knew how to draw up a business plan, manage large numbers of people, deal with a union, maybe lived through a few up and down business cycles.
But . . . I'm in Texas, and I expect the folks in California know what'll suit their needs better than I. I still think, though, that governors really ought to have more going for them than "star" quality.

Arnold has a hell of lot more than "star" quality. The man is smart as shit and knows exactly what he is talking about when it comes to politics and concerns and he's very passionate about it. He's turned so many things around for the better in a business sense and there is no reason why he wouldn't be able to do the same for a state. The man has all the qualities and before he even talked about going into politics I thought he would be an amazing politician. You don't need experience in politics to become a governor but you do have to understand it. Howard Dean started off a doctor here in VT then ran for governor, won, and now he's considered the leading candidate for the democratic presidential position. The guy was a doctor but he knew his shit. Same with Arnold and people who actually follow him closely besides on the big screen would agree. Just my point of view.

arnold HAS run a multimillion $$$ business and is not a political neophyte - he has led several drives for political issues, mostly in education -also remember that his wife is a media maven and is a Kennedy.

ANYONE can run it better than the muddle headed pols who are in there now - especially those who are not so beholden to every union and special interest group -and this kind of election, the Terminator can win without owing anyone too much- but we are surely going to have to petition him to make gear decriminalized in Cali !

Damn bro I couldn't of said it any better. You hit the nail right on the head reagrding that he is not union and special interested type person. I have said this before but these mindless fucks that are in office now are only interested in their next pay check and the next election. They are nothijng but campaigners. They campaign for office then once elected they spend their whole term campaigning to get re-elected.

Arnold is a citizen of Cali just like me. I feel he is the best candidate becasue he is one of us. He will run this state the way the people want him too. We need more business in Cali to give more jobs....most all we need to get rid of this jackass budget that is crippling our schools. You all don't know how bad it is here for our children...and their teachers.

I won't ramble on....I do agree with you Cyc...nice post!

Actually, while I know who she is, I have been too busy to really know what she is saying - and I doubt I would call myself a fan of anyone. I am simply too close to being behind the curtain not to know what is going on back there and the plethora of mendacity and mediocraty that seem to envelope our "public servants" - since when does a lawyer (about 80% of our elected officials) have ANY idea how to RUN ANYTHING? have you ever seen a lawyer create jobs? no. they do know how to write laws that only they can read and spend your money - now you know why the government is in the situation it is.

If you ever have the time, i think you might enjoy some of her views on our political situations in past and current.

As stated before, I havn't read her book yet, but will begin it in about a week.
