    --chat room--

    Would anyone be interested in making an AIM or AOL chatroom for AR members to talk to each other, not necessarily about AAS, just General crap like the lounge?

    That would be pretty awesome. Most people post there SN's though in there profiles but a chat room would be easier.

    I think that would be a great idea, but ya know we should probably vote on which type, like I only have yahoo IM, mainly because I don't believe there are any Moderators in yahoo chat.

    I suggested AOL or AIM because they are the most common programs and EVERYONE has them ya know.... AIM would probably be easier to pull off though.


    plus I could upload a file that is a HYPERLINK to the chatroom on AIM called AR Members, and you could just leave that file on your desktop and click it whenever you wanna sign on to the chatroom.

    any other ideas are welcome

    i think that's a really good idea........i'm pretty sure you can create a room for both AIM and AOL members.......i have both anyways........not sure about yahoo members tho.........

    Actually that link thing didn't go too well, it wont let me attach the file. The extension is .blt ( not bacon lettuce tomato )

    It only allows you to put text and Images I think.

    How else would I be able to link it?

    I think its possible to have one through this site. AR used to have a chat a few months ago, but i guess it could removed when the site got revamped....

    I need to do this and I know it. When the final release of vbulletin comes out I will see if I can install one for everyone.

    I cant attach it it gives me this message : You have attempted to upload an invalid type of attachment. The valid extensions for attachments are: bmp doc gif jpe jpeg jpg pdf png psd txt

    any other ideas?

    The last chat room wasn't moderated, so it was basically a scammer's paradise. People have to realize that anyone that they're chatting with can be anything they want to be, as long as they lie about it. If in favor of a new moderated AR chat room as long as there is a zero-tolerance policy for source posting.

    It could work that way for current AR members, but others will join just to enter the chat looking for easy answers to stupid questions.

    I think it will have to be moderated for sure. If its possible to restrict access to members with a minimum number of posts, I'd be all for that.
