computer people, why won't my porn fast forward. i can't watch it all the way through. it is an .mpg file. any ideas on what i need or if im doomed to sit through the nonsense intro and actually ahve to watch a full porn to get to the scene i want?

You are just going to have to watch it all the way thru. I have tried like 5 different media players and all sorts of diff. codecs but not a damn thing works. I have about 5 pornos like that and the shitty thing is that they are all full length. By the time i get half way thru im done beatin it so ive never seen the end of them. My advice is---Download more porn...i have about 60GB worth right now.

By the way if you cannot fast forward an MPEG file, it's probably because it's a video ripped from a VCD and though it is a format of MPEG which will somewhat play in media player, it's not indexed in a way compatible with it.

You'd need to convert it back to a "PC" version of an mpeg (to oversimplify it) with a program called TmpGENC. I'm not going to start exlpaining the process here as it's waaay beyond the scope of this board

(a can of worms I'd rather not open here! there are entire sites and boards on the PC video formats and their conversions)

You could also edit the boring parts ou of the MPEG file with VirtualDUB to cut out the boring parts and then save it to a compressed AVI format like DiVX. This would be the simplest solution.
