Cheapest things are usually starches ie) pasta, rice, etc.
As for meat...find the cheapest cuts of beef. Thinly slice them and saute them and have them over plain rice. No more than $2 worth of food there.
Eggs are cheap too.

dont forget baked beans. there are like 600 cals a can, and 23 grams of protein. i like bush's. lots of variety.
I get the huge bags of cereal. Good source of carbs and it is like $4 for a huge bag. I know all about the broke ass syndrom. Lucky for me now I got a job.
Oh someone else whos broke like me....LOL...Tuna, Tuna, Tuna, Tuna, did I mention somemore Tuna?
DUDE....you can get one dozen eggs for like $.99. Get 35 dozen eggs.
one dozen every meal will take care of you for the week.
Hahaha, gotta love the college life....The other day I saw an awesome deal on whole chickens for 59 cents a pound compared to 1.50 a pound...picked up six of them and stored em away for a rainy day like this. Elios pizza is another cheap bite to eat. Also mix up some tuna with elbow pasta.
Wendy's 99 cent menu.... tuna and wheat bread(The cheap ass .50 for a loaf kind), hell if you want to splurge and eat beef buy one of those big 5-10lb "logs" that are under $1 a lb.
Better yet go to the food shelter and dress up in some grubby clothes. Free meal right there baby.
Your from So Cal. Go to the market. They're all having huge sales because of the strike. Especially on meats.

straight protien powder "i actually like to eat chocolate straight with a spoon"

Wow, I once went three weeks eating only 50cent hot dogs, protien powder, cereal, and 32cent refills of pwerade. I know what it's like when the old meal plan runs out. sorry, I feel for you.
Get a girlfriend that has more money than you and lay the pipe right and she will take care of ya!
Hold up a sign on the side of the road that says "will work for food" Or I also have seen a sign that a guy was holding up saying "Vietnam vet needs food". Just to note he looked about 35 years old.
best idea yet!Originally Posted by Kato
Bro, I'm not broke yet. But my union/company is currently on strike and I have no idea when I will see my next paycheck. So what I did in that case, is stock up on bread and tuna salad. I will be eating that daily. But hopefully, this strike will end in a week or less.Originally Posted by TrenFreak3

Venison is da shizzy. That is seriously one of the best things about living here in Wisconsin. Between all of the various deer hunting seasons if you got one in each you could easily have a couple hundred pounds of lean meat. Man, I can't wait for November. Chicken liver is cheap, $1 a pound here in Dallas. Fried with onions, one lb will give ya about 100 gms of protein.
Yah, Tuna is good too, 32 grams per can, if you can get two cans for a dollar, that's 64 gms per $1.
Rice, potatos, pasta for carbs, and you'll be gold.
