Click? or no click?
I can't stand how you have to click the pictures if you wanna see em. What do you guys think?

Sucks....I was wondering what the reasoning behind it was.

Probably because people like me used to flame with pictures. I think I made people cry to the admins how I could get a webhost to hold the pics I use to insult them?

Please go back to the old way, this is very corny (No offense to whoever made the decision). I just think the [img] command is our friend. If we can tame it, it will be very benefitial!

Huh??
You know me guys. I go either way
It sucks to have to click but on the other hand, what if we dont wanna see the pic everytime we go to the thread.

The reason I changed it was because the website was going too slow. We are adding another 1/2 gig of memory to the server tonight. if it speeds it back up significantly, I will change it back.

I hate it also but I did notice that 1)there were a lot of useless pics being posted and 2) it was making the board run really slow like Jason said. If it speeds up with this added drive space cool if not I'd just as soon be annoyed by clicking on a link as the page opening slow.
Jason just and idea but I'd volunteer to go back and delete some older posts that are no longer needed on the board to save space (and money). Just the old BS stuff that has no usable info in it. Hell I can think of a few former members who we can delete all the pics and or posts from and get a couple gigs from them alone.

when you delete a thread does it delete the images associated with it as well ? I wondered about this....

key, to find the answer, make a thread, upload the image and copy the url for the actual image. Then delete the thread and paste the url for the image into your browser and see if its still there. I do believe its errased from the data base with the thread but im not certain because i know if you change your avatar, the old one will still exist on the server.

If so, why not default ALL users to click on images, and those of us who prefer auto load can go change it in the CP?
As for deleting old threads, count me in... I'll go clean up my act.

Thing is, if you mass prune by date, you're going to lose MANY of the educational threads as most of them are extremely old.

I was actually thinking of going back to about a year ago and deleting all those "Who's Your Fav Stars Wars Chr" threads. Must have been 100's like that. Each one has at least 1000 pics on them too. Thats got to be some waisted space Huh? We can prune that guru guy who asked all the questions too. Plus we can get rid of Full Intensity's first 1000 posts.
