I can't stand how you have to click the pictures if you wanna see em. What do you guys think?

It's ultra ghey!
it's a PITA!

Sucks....I was wondering what the reasoning behind it was.
Probably because people like me used to flame with pictures. I think I made people cry to the admins how I could get a webhost to hold the pics I use to insult them?
Please go back to the old way, this is very corny (No offense to whoever made the decision). I just think the [img] command is our friend. If we can tame it, it will be very benefitial!
Huh??
You know me guys. I go either way
It sucks to have to click but on the other hand, what if we dont wanna see the pic everytime we go to the thread.
I hate it.
I hate it but it saves on bandwidth which is probably why its set like that.
Sandwiches are good. Especially with lettuce and some onions sprinkled with garlic salt. Mmmm

I hate it also but I did notice that 1)there were a lot of useless pics being posted and 2) it was making the board run really slow like Jason said. If it speeds up with this added drive space cool if not I'd just as soon be annoyed by clicking on a link as the page opening slow.
Jason just and idea but I'd volunteer to go back and delete some older posts that are no longer needed on the board to save space (and money). Just the old BS stuff that has no usable info in it. Hell I can think of a few former members who we can delete all the pics and or posts from and get a couple gigs from them alone.
Oh god, dont give me a newbie title again. lol, i didn't even think before i posted that.
well in that case, i deleted The Official MS Paint Threadwhat sad day in my world.....i need a shoulder to cry on......anyone ??
You woulda been better off deleting talons first 900 posts.
Just kidding.
did you really? damn that was to funnyOriginally Posted by KeyMastur
when you delete a thread does it delete the images associated with it as well ? I wondered about this....
hehe just make sure to scan for "bigol'legs" .. so I dont lose post counts![]()
key, to find the answer, make a thread, upload the image and copy the url for the actual image. Then delete the thread and paste the url for the image into your browser and see if its still there. I do believe its errased from the data base with the thread but im not certain because i know if you change your avatar, the old one will still exist on the server.
i was going to do that, but didn't want to go through the trouble. too lazy.

Unless I am mistaken I believe that in the user CP we have the option to click or auto load images?Originally Posted by PTbyJason
If so, why not default ALL users to click on images, and those of us who prefer auto load can go change it in the CP?
As for deleting old threads, count me in... I'll go clean up my act.

I know what you mean, but the admin panel over-rides the usercp. If I can find a way to go in and change everyone's option at once, which is what you are suggesting, it would work. But right now, that is not available.Originally Posted by Red Ketchup
Ron, I can prune users with X # of posts or less, I can prune threads older than X days in whatever forum I want, etc... We can clean this board up of old posts easily, I just need a good guideline as far as how old of posts we want to keep in certain forums.Originally Posted by RON
Thing is, if you mass prune by date, you're going to lose MANY of the educational threads as most of them are extremely old.

well in that case, prune every forum for bdtr's posts with the date starting 10-31-03 and dating back to whenever.Originally Posted by PTbyJason
what about all these new members who register but don't ever come on the board ?? is there anyway to tell of their last time on the board ??
Jason could you archive all the old threads? that would save space wouldnt it?
