    SpyBot not working?!?!

I downloaded spybot yesterday to take care of some problems I'm having after clicking on someone's hijacked AIM profile. I didn't have a single pop-up for the last seven months, and now, I get the same three EVERY time I turn on my computer AND every time someone IMs me. Would SpyBot not pick something like this up if it snuck in some other way? Since it obviously seems to be correlated with AIM, should i be rooting around in the AIM folder to find something that doesn't belong?

yeah, my GF gets the same crap. I think it has something to do with her ICQ making this stuff pop up

I installed the google pop up stoper and it doesn't stop a certain one. I've run spybot and adaware too. The only thing left is her ICQ crap.

Let me know if you figure out a way to get rid of it. She doesn't want to shut off her ICQ

that spy bot is a bit tricky at first ,. after it is finished running a search ,.. it will ask you to fix the problems ,... when you agree to do this , it will sometimes remove a few good things aswell... (the good things may have had a few bots or cookies that were installed on your pc that are now removed by this)..... atleast this is the way i understood it, when i first started using it i had the same things happen.
