Why the tear?
This has been a question of mine for awhile. In the Two Towers, when Sauromon reveals his army to wormtounge.. wormtounge has a tear roll down his cheek. This part is not in the book and was added to the movie. why?

i dont think it really means anything but it is kinda weird and seems like it should have some meaning
Im just interested to see if they keep the movie ending exactly the same as the book

they changed to darn many things - like the fact that faramir would never have touched the ring much less take frodo to gondor - and the fact that the ents had to be tricked to go to orthnac - but the tear was probably to show the imensity of control over peoples minds that Sauraman had with his voice - so the tear was wormtounge almost lost in worship, as I saw it. Its hard to show how powerful the enchanted voice is in a movie.

i am going to have to agree with cycleon. it was a teat of awe and worship, and it revealed the amount of power that would come.
