    One of my x-gfs is now a lesbian

    Ok, so i just got hit with a bombshell. the girl i dated for around 6 months my freshman year of college is now, only 2 years later, a full fledged carpet muncher. She was definitely straight when we dated, loved to give if you know what i mean. Also never expressed any interest in girls at all, not porn or anything else. I don't know if she dated anyone else in the meantime, but our breakup was pretty bad..

    over a 2 month period she kept insisting that i didn't love her anymore, and then one night i got sick of it and said "you know what, you're right. and the reason why is because after 2 months of this you've managed to convince me of it. This is not going to work out. " and didn't talk to her again. I feel bad, because she was really a nice girl, but i had to be rid of her and now i fear that i may have turned her gay. thoughts?

    you didn't turn her gay...and more then likely she's experimenting or met someone even though female who was a caring person and she felt a connection with that she needed at the time....

    not trying to take credit. just wonderng if it was possible. when we were dating she insisted that she loved me, and it seemed to be obvious that she was attracted to me.. however now she's sworn off men entirely, she is not just experimenting. I've heard this from a friend, and not seen it first hand.. although i'm going to give her a call sometime this week.

    And during our relationship i was a very caring person. I broke up with her after 2 months of calling and emailing every day, as it was the summer and we were apart. However hearing every day "you don't love me anymore" after sending packages, writing letter, and emailing as well as arranging friends to drop her notes from me, i couldn't take it.

    i'm sorry I just re-read that and I didn't mean for it to sound harsh so I apologize if it did...no, she's prob not a real lesbian and could've been bisexual......look what happend w/ that acress Ann Hesche.....she turned but ended up marrying a man

    BTW, basic psychology will tell you that she subconsciously (and possibly consciously) WANTED to break up with you. She probably sees herself as a "nice" person and didn't want be the bad one. So she made you into the bad guy by forcing you to break up with her. She probably was dealing with knowing she was a lesbian long before she met you.

    My one other concern is that if she is a full lesbian, then was our relationship which i felt was meaningful and that i learned a lot from essentially a sham all along?

    At the risk of being a post whore, let me add one more thing:

    The psychological term for what she did is called projection. SHE didn't love YOU anymore, but probably didn't want to break up over her being a lesbian (something she may have been stuggling with). So, she projected her feelings on to you and claimed that you didn't love HER, when really she was coming to the realization that SHE didn't love you.

    This doesn't mean that she wasn't originally attracted to you. She probably genuinely cared about you while it lasted.

    I was dating a guy for a while, and then he started going to a shrink, and then he decided he was straight. Got himself a girlfriend, got married, got divorced, got married and divorced a few more times, . . . guess he really like getting married.
    There's no telling what's in a person's mind when they do something like that, but it's unlikely that it has much to do with anything you did or didn't do, so there's no need to feel guilt over this. I've known closeted gay people who were married for years, tried to enjoy sex as much as they could, only to finally say, "The hell with this ****," and made other arrangements when the kids were able to take care of themselves.

    Look, you should be happy...You might be able to more easily convince her to join you in a threesome now or later on...Once they had some man meat between their legs they will always miss it. The longer she goes without it the more she will need it....Trust me I got a bunch of ex's who later became lesbos only to want a little action from a male after a few years...Had threesomes with 3 different ex's who became lesbos after I dated them...Then again all the breakups were amicable so no hard feelings were involved between us either.

    Hey, I have dated a huge number of women in my 41 years. I am married and have 2 g/f's right now...I do tend to date the more open minded type of women...I am a bit of a freak tho...got to admitt it..But like I said all the breakups were amicable and they came back to play at some point, so call it what you want, I can live with it...
