Just thinking aloud here....

Seeing as the end of the year is approaching, might it maybe be a decent idea to create a first annual AR awards "show"? I don't know, we could call it "The Winnies" (and the winny goes to....) or something. I'm envisioning some basic categories we could create and people could then make nominations. Afterwards, either openly or in private, members would have a week or so to cast their vote based on the top four nominees. A few category ideas:

*Most Frustrating Newbie Question
*Most Dynamic New Poster
*Best Performance in a Comedic Thread
*Most Substantial Physique Improvements by a Regular Member
*Best New Screen Name
*Best Hyperlink to an Outside Site
*Most Heated Feud
*Most Informative Cycle Diary

Again, just a start and some random thoughts...if pulled off and taken in good fun, this could do a great deal to pull the board together in many ways.

Nice one BG. I like the idea...specially since I don't think I fit in any of the catagories.

The winner should have to wear the Winny..labeled for the category of course...in their signature for a year...until the new Winny winner earns the right to the award.

Agreed, but if enough regular members took the time to remember threads that stood out for whatever reason, it would be vastly easier. After some personal nominations, once organized the official nominations could have links to the threads/posts in question so that voting would be a cinch. All it takes is one person to remember a "classic" thread.

You would also need a Winny committee. To handle the nominations and such.

I think it's a great idea Big Green! I'll even offer a hand if you need it. Nominating myself, giving myself awards and such.....no problem.

Sounds good to me....You should have awards to members as well. And the winner could receive 1$ from every other member to fund their next cycle, or food, or supplements, etc...The winny part wsa great. :roflol:

I'll honestly "spearhead" the thing by being the go between for nomination categories and voting if need be. As I currently envision it, it's not so much about picking a "rookie of the year", "best poster" or "most informative member" (as that would tend to divide the community since people who contribute a great deal would no doubt feel slighted as only one can win)....rather, I'm thinking fun and interesting categories that don't become so exclusive like "best comedic performance in a thread", "best comeback in a thread", etc, etc.
