    *sigh*...I hate having small lats.

    It sucks...I'm new to this, but i've been bulking for 7 months...still arent that good. Can anyone give me a back routine to work with?

    Wide grip pull ups.......Heavy Stiff legged deads.......and heavy rows

    do deadlifts and dont overtrain......overtraining could be a reason why they arent growing........be patient, it will take time before your muscles mature.........deadlifting HEAVY is the KEY to a large back i dont care what anyone says. if there is any doubt check the members pictures area

    just be careful and dont get hurt bro.

    Close grip pulldowns hit my outer lats hard. Also try starting your back routine with 3 sets of pullups with as many reps as you can pump out. One arm dumbell rows with GOOD FORM can be extremely beneficial too. Then make sure you have enough food to grow and youll get larger overnight.

    my routine:

    1: deads
    2: shrugs
    3: chins(overhand, wide-grip)
    4: v-handle pulldowns
    5: dumbell rows
    6: hypers

    the deads work great, but the chins really smoke out every last fiber in the lats.
    i absolutely f****** detest doing them, but they need to be done.

    Oh hell no... Thank you for the routines everyone. I've been sober for awhile now...I think a week? I'm hittin the back very hard in the gym. And yes pete, you were right. It was "penis" not "lats"

    I have a negative machine in my gym for lat pulldowns.. try having a training partner help you do them. also single arm pull downs help tie in the lower waist and fill out your lats.

    You're probably ****ed. People with big lats lack thickness and people with thickness lack width. If you have both, then you're one of the very few blessed people along with big ron, and you got yourself some trophies waiting.

    here ya go, kiddo:

    3 sets wide, overhand pullups
    4 sets deadlifts
    3 sets tbar rows
    3 sets cable rows
    3 sets lat pulldown (narrow/wide)

    yes, i put much more focus on upper/mid back than lower back. dunno why, but i don't care that much about lower back (although it gets a good workout from the deads, i think).
