Is Milano same city as Milan?

Just curious. Is Milano italian way of saying Milan? Same city right? Just curious.

    Thnx,
    T.

One more thing, when using Western Union, is it okay to just have the city and country? Usually they ask for 3 pieces of info, city, province/state, country. Does Italy not have any provinces or states?

Yes Milano is the same town as Milan FC (the soccer team).

If you say city/country that is enough. They know what you mean.

Italy does have provinces, but Milano is Milan. Just like Roma is Rome, Napoli is Naples, etc.
