Anyone here a civil engineer?

just checking because it seems like im the only engineer who works out here at my college

Chemical Engineering here. You're right though, doesn't seem like too many engineers work out, honestly I wouldn't be able to tell you that I've seen another one here that does yet either, and this is a 45k student body. I'm sure there has to be by probability, but it is a bit surprising fact.

I used to do research for a civil engineering company.. ur right, most are so concerned with their education and jobs to care abotu much else.. I have seen a few lose wifes over there job and they don't even blink an eye...

Whats the point of havign a great education and job if you can't have anyhting else??? so can, but from what i saw most don't give a **** abotu anyhting else..

I hadn't thought of that.. My wife works for an engineering firm of 230 mostly men.. Most of the women are the clerical... but alot are engineers also.. alot of field work.

None of them work out on a regular basis, even the ones that i have played softball, volleyball, golf, and bowling with.. .. Hey bowling is kinda like lifting weights, and then there is always the 16oz curl....

ME here, the only engineer that works out at your college..haha, every time i go into the plant or office my colleagues are todlers (150lbs or less) lol...its funny.. Alot of engineers are drunks, so i have noticed.. oh well

Structural engineer here. Working in my field as a truss designer for residential and commmercial structures.
You start getting looked at with new respect when your sporting 19" guns, and a brain.

I have to go back to school and finish my degree to make it official but I've been working as a Mechanical Engineer for years. Most people in the real world don't work out or look like they do at least.

Mechanical Engineer with a minor in facilities engineering here working for a major Air Conditioning company in sales.... going to night school for my MBA..... I find time to hit the gym at least 4-5 times a week......not many of my co-workers work out.... they are too consumed with work, wife, kids, and more work!!!!! Like animal said many loose there wives and social life, I on the other hand am only consumed with work, woman, and weights!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

230 engineers... chemical and land development..

they do alot of abatement work..

coke refinery... 240,000 gallon fuel spill at the minnesota airport... alot of dam abatement up and down the mississippi..

they were the #2 company family owned to work for.. in minnesota..
yea the weather is cold.. but it keeps alot of undesirables out..

housing is high to.. and we have alot of liberals..

oh well..

Yep! Civil Engineer here.
A couple of guys try and workout that I work with, but they do the on again/off again stuff. They'll work out for a month or two and then not for 3 months. I think I'm the only one in my office that really works out. They always look at me funny and give me hell when they are all going to "happy hour" and I tell them I gotta go workout.
