Officially joined the 315 bench club today

I finally overcame my mental block and hit 315 for a pretty easy rep today! Woohoo. I have done 225 x15 and 275x5, but I could never get 315 for some reason. Today, I hit it with no problem, even tried for 335 but got stuck midway. I have to attribute it to an entire weekend of carbs and beer. Maybe I should start drinking more.

Did you use a smith machine??? or wouldn't that count.. even if i added the weight to account for the counterbalance of the bar and cables???

    peace..

No smith machine here. I can't stand the smith for anything but military, which I need to do alot more of.

Congrats sig, I have yet to throw it up. I've done 275 7 times so I am pretty sure I could do it, but my blown rotator cuff has me scared to try for a 1 or 2 rep set. Cool deal.

HOw many different bench clubs are there? The 4 hundy club, the 3 hundy club, the 425, 221, 343, and now the 315 club. Too many clubs.

Is that heavy?... We use Kgs here.

Maybe we should just call it the six plate club to avoid any confusion between 300 and 315 clubs.

    I remember when I first got 315...hell of a feeling. 325 sure is a better sounding number...so is 350 and 405. HA!

Congrats on reaching a new personal best! May you set many more personal records!
