How do i post pics

I know it sounds stupid but im computer iliterate I want to post some before pics. I just got a digital camera I installed all of the programs everything works fine its just when i go to put them on this site it says my images are all to big. I have made them as small as they can go on the computer but it still say there to big. do i need to adjust something on the camera. thanks

try going to image stretch/skew...reduce the picture size..

tried that didnt work I have an old adobe photo deluxe think that is the problem
