...Your Best Year
Well, I'm sure everyone can reply to this.. Can you recall the best year you ever had? Why does this year stand out compared to other 'good' years.. You don't have to go into total detail, but sum up why that year was the best for you..
My best year was 2001.. Something about it was carefree.. Everyone i knew was succeeding.. Nobody close to me died, got arrested, or went to the hospital that whole year.. I met some incredible friends, more like brothers, and i realized who my true friends really were.. In 2001, I finally moved out on my own, and enjoyed every bit of it.. I could have people over the house, and no one would bitch at me for anything!!! I never threw a party before (cause i lived with my parents) This was the first year i actually had a party at my house, For once in my life I was the host of the party..LOL.. ALOT of people came, and it was good times.. I started my first cycle in 01', I hit my plateau naturally, and did so much research, it was silly, then i took the next step.. Loved everything about it.. Of course, I joined AR that year...haha... 2001 in paticular, felt like a permanent summer vacation for me, 03 is heading in the same direction, I don't want to *jinx* myself.. There is 10 more months to go, I'll dig this thread up and elaborate then.. haha

2000. My daughter was born and I made enough money in the stock market, not a fortune, but enough to never have to worry about finances again. Oh for the days of "irrational exuberance".

When I was 19. No worries. A nice stable job that I got a good workout from. Always had a different girl each week if not two. Nice car and always seemed to have money.
Always had the pager going off with people wanting to hang out. Every thing seemed to fall into place without planning. I could always fit 25 hours of events into a 24 hour day. Everyone respected me either out of love or fear. I was in the best shape of my life, quickest, strongest, and most dedicated.
Every day was fun.

1984. I was 17 and a Jr. in highschool. I got sent to live with my grandmother for the year because I was running with a bad crowd back home.
But when I got to granny's she bought me a jeep, and gave me $200 a week for gas and food. She also let me live in her garage apartment that was right on the beach, and she let me deck it out with electronics on her Visa card. The High school was small and rural so I instantly became one of the coolest guys there (since I had the jeep, money and a beach house). My granny was so cool, she let me come and go as I pleased, and she never said anything to me about how much company I always had. I had so much fun, had my pick of girls, always had beer in the fridge (thats a big deal at 17) and the bong was always packed. Plus even though I'd never done juice I was in great shape from playing football and baseball.... mannnnnnnnnnn that was the year bro.... I've had some other great years since then, but for just care free fun I haven't topped 1984. I think I'll go break out my pictures... thanks for taking me back there Monster!Last edited by ripped4fsu; 02-17-2004 at 09:56 AM.

Strength does not come from winning. Your struggles develop your strengths. When you go through hardships and decide not to surrender, THAT IS STRENGTH

1997 was my "Summer of George". It was a good year. Worked all winter made a boatload of cash, May long weekend rolled around, quit the job, was unemployed all summer with 10-15k to piss away. A couple of buds joined me in quitting their jobs. Laying on the beach, hitting the gym, dojo, going camping, hitting any concert or various event within 500 miles, 4x4ing, mountain biking, etc. It's amazing how much fun you can have when you don't give a **** and live for the moment. If you ever think you're at that crossroad in life, be stupid, enjoy it for what it is, because once you grow up, you just can't have that kind of fun anymore.
