    I wanna kill this mofo!!!

    Some guy took my hard drives that fried said he would fix them. Now he is trying to con me out of money. These hard drives had all mty pictures from college and personal info like CC# and resumes etc. I called the cops on this ****er and now he is sending me threatening emails etc. Says he will try to find child porn or IRS info on here and get me. Turns out he is a con man with a criminal record. Only way i will ever see those hard drives again is to basically go into this guys house and rip them out his room. Sucks cause I lost all my pictures from college on there and of my ex gf and me as well as I got sensitive data on there I wouldnt want in the wrong hands and now its in the hands of a con man. Lets just hope those hard drives are permanently fried and he cant get any data out of them. Cops said they might try for a Harassment charge against the guy but I dont see anything happening you know how the DA's are.

    If you called the cops whats the deal then? they obviously didnt retrieve your property so whats the story? And secondly dont you look into the people you employ to fix your property? Thirdly the cops will try for a harassment charge but wont get your **** lol too much.............Hitman

    The cops said that I gave it to him to fix thast not technically stealing it, but I dont see how it isnt since he isnt giving it back. The guy told me on the phone that he went to jail for life almost and he doesnt give a ****. Cops confirmed he is a criminal. Basically I hope to see him on the streets and grab him by the throat and rip his wallet out his pants. Then i'll have all his credit cards, although I doubvt a felon has any but at least i'll have his license etc and I can use it as leverage.

    Its an old man

    He is an old man. My dad says drop it. But I got all my pictures from college etc on there. Plus Credit card info resumes etc. And he threated me on the net today that he is going to put kiddy porn on there and turn me in. I've already sent all this to the cops, lets just hope the DA does something about it. Otherwise i migth have to go find him and put the hurt on him. He was scared until I told him I meant no hard and just want my stuff back and thats when he got ballsy.

    Yeah i'm majorly pissed right now I cant sleep. The dude totally conned me. He has a police record too. He told the cops outright on the phone he is keeping the stuff that I gave it to him which is total ****. But they cant do anything they said.

    I agree. Even if someone is a bad ass. If he gets his ass beat by someone and his friends, (and knows it can happen again) he usually lets it slide if he knew he deserved it by conning someone. It is different if the guy just got jumped for no reason, but when you have it comin', you usually let it slide if you really got the **** kicked out of you.

    Let me put some thoughts in your head. If he knows what he is doing, as you said you cc#'s are on there....did you ever check any of you banking information on line? Use your cards for a purchase? online provider? He has it all if he is smart enough. This can quickly go form having your property to stealing your identy...simple as that if he knows what he is doing...

    Agree with spy...I have programs that find all sorts of stuff on computers...you would be amazed what I can find. This is the part that you don't want out...the only way yuou could ever destry all information is to melt the thing into a pool of metal...or get evidence eliminator, a temp power supply and then set the thing up to rewrite all information magnetically...I can't retrieve anything when that is done....

    Man that really sucks bro. I don't think it would really help by kicking his ass. You'd just end up getting yourself in trouble. The guy seems pretty retarded, if he puts the kiddie porn on your harddrive, then HE will be arrested and charged for it. Not to mention you DID send the emails to the police. It would be BETTER if he shows up at the police station, gives THEM the harddrive, they arrest HIM, and give back your HD. That would be hilarious!! Getting him arrested for his own "plan"

    It sucks that you have personal info on the HD. Best thing to do is not to keep CC info and other personal stuff. I know what you mean about the picture. I also have a lot of pictures and school stuff, mostly all my **** from highschool and university on my PC. However, i've made backups. It's a good idea to burn the pics and other **** onto cd's and what not.

    Anywho, good luck, and keep us posted to what happens at the police and what not.
